Maninabox, hai tradotto solo l'installazione o hai anche italianizzato il pacchetto, cioe', dei vari files di update hai cercato la versione italiana o hai fatto solo una traduzione delle finestre di dialogo?

Ho cercato prima i file in italiano in versione corretta, in seguito ho preso i file in italiano di versioni precedenti (non avendo trovato le ultime versioni in italiano) e ho copiato ed incollato quello che riguarda menu, finestre di dialogo e stringhe. Ho cercato di fare attenzione nel trovare le differenze di traduzione tra una versione e l' altra (qualche file aveva qualche voce in più o in meno) ma visto che è stato un lavoro certosino qualche errore potrebbe esserci .

Per quello che ho potuto testare io mi sembra apposto. Fatemi sapere.

First, the Gape' s UNOFFICIAL Windows98SE Service Pack is a great work.

I' ve installed in two partitions the Italian version of UNOFFICIAL Windows98 SE Service Pack 2.0.1 downloaded from http://rapidshare.de/files/1917359/sesp201it.exe.html .
In both partitions i have the same problem:
when I click on the item "Find" > "Files or directories" ("Trova" > "File o cartelle" in Italian language) I can write the name or the string to search, but the list of the files found, the result of the search, is not visible because it seems covert by the previous window.
Can anyone help me ?

So, is not a problem of my PC only. Some Italian friends of mine have installed the english version (yes, the English version of the Unofficial SP over the Italian version of Win98SE) without any problem, but only with a little change in the Start > Programs items, and without this little bug.
I hope someone has an idea to solve this problem.

Sorry. Now i have not time to correct this bug that it's present in mine installation to.
I think is a wrong version of dll file. Try to replace with original english dll and report here.

I've solved the bug in the item 'Find' and another bug in IE 6.1
The Italian users can read the solutions in the topic subforum 'IE 6.0 SP1 cannot open Https pages'.
If one of Italian users is able, can make a new debugged package reading the Petr's advice in the same subforum.

Thanks for help to find error in my service pack translation.
I have read your other thread and I make the corrections.
Now I try to translate new SP 2.1a in italian language with more right italian file.
Unfortunatly I' m not able to find all italian version file because from microsoft site there aren't, so I have marked the selfmade translation file with "ita" suffix in file version and product version propriety (to translate I take older italian version of files, not all are completly translate).

If anyone have right file can send me.

I have found there are also snmp.exe, snmpapi.dll, wshom.ocx, wshext.dll in italian but older version.

Have you tried to ask Microsoft? Many hotfixes are available in Italian.

Hi all,
I found one more problem.

I installed the 2.01 SP and replaced the wrong SHELL32.DLL and CRYPT32.DLL as said in previous messages. Now the system seems to work well, but I can't access the "Virtual Memory" dialog (Control Panel\System, Performance tab, Virtual Memory button). When I click on "Virtual Memory..." simply nothing happens.

The installation was NOT on a fresh Win98SE installation, and (unfortunatly) I don't have access to that computer any more (I use Win98SE English), so I can't easily provide more informations about this. Really sorry about that.
