i have installed the right driver for this laptop (from the toshiba website)... there are no conflicts with the actual driver, it seems to be working fine, except of course THERE IS NO SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please help!!! huh.gif

is there a check mark on the Mute in Volume icon in the task bar ?

may be there is a mute button on the laptop itself, check it !!

What about the properties of the audio device?

Are the speaker settings configured corectly?
Example: 5.1 speakers, headset, stereo 2.1 etc.

at the moment the audio setting is set to "Desktop stereo speakers" which is the default selection i thnk... i changed the setting several of the other choices, but the sound still didn't work... sad.gif
