Hi,

I have seen people producing custom installations of various programs, my question is how do they do this?

Specifically I want to start with MSN Messenger 7.

I have downloaded and installed WinInstall LE which is the tool used.
But it does not want to start (some error about invalid licence).
No it's not a cracked copy or anything like that

1) Are there other tools to use?
2) How do I know what to delete etc to customise a package?
Is it just trial and error?
Or do I have to look for specific things (registry entries, files etc)?

Any help, tutorials, suggestions, websites etc are appreciated!

Thanks!

msn can be installed silently with switches. If you still want to do it in another way, or for example have a reg file that you want to add, and so on, you could create a self-extracting archive that runs some cmd file (search a bit, you'll find it). Another option is an AutoIt script. Last one is actually repackaging the software, but that's only needed if the other options don't work.
