can anyone tell me an easy way on how to put applications onto the unattended windows xp cd because the guide on the site is too confusing

we'd like that also, becomes easier with practice,Sorry fella there are plenty of examples. You'll just have to do plenty of surfin/searchin thats bout it.

Take it one step at a time.
It took me several months to fully understand the concept.
U.A. CD/DVD is not something you pickup overnight.

suggestion: pickup a couple of CDRW and DVDRW media.

Download the PDF guide and print it out. Read it in the Bathroom.

Thats a bit over the top mee boy, buttya right it does take many months to get a handle for this.

i do a lot of reading sitting on the thrown.

if u want u can use my silent install script included in silent.rar. run the "runonce.cmd" from CMDLINES.txt and buile the nsi script with NSIS (get it from the link in my sig) and put all your apps in an Install folder on ur DVD. very straight forward

where do i find the CMDLINES.txt file?
and once i open the .nsi file in the silent.rar what do i do with it?
and once i get all this done do u make a folder for the software in the apps folder?
eg) C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\Install\Applications\Nero
then in the nero folder i put all the files for installing it?

and when i open runonce.cmd it closes right away:S

Considering that there are several ways of installing applications on a UACD, you need to figure out one of the basic ways (i.e. RunOnceEx - not XPlode/WPI) and stick with it.

I started with the batch files, since it's a good place to learn about the basics of setting up the file structure on a UACD. When I was comfortable with that, I moved onto RunOnceEx since I don't care about really fancy looks and it's relatively simple to setup. There's even a RunOnceEx maker that makes things a lot easier. What you end up with in the end is a sleek looking box that shows you what's been installed and what's to come.

Read the guide carefully. There's no quick UACD creator program out there... it takes a bit of practice. All the information you need there is available - you just need to read it all (no skimming). The RunOnceEx page even has a good example on how to setup the .cmd file.
