Greetings,

Has anyone had similar problems? I have an old Compaq laptop with Zyxel G100 WLAN-card
and Odyssey Client.

After I install 98SE SP 2.0.1 the Odyssey CLient hangs on startup with following messages:

ODHOST caused an invalid page fault in module ODSERVICE.DLL at 0167:1009ecaf.

Clicking OK gives:

ODHOST
CoCreateInstance failed
Status is 0x80040154

Any ideas? If I dont install SP 2.01 and install only all the updates from Windowsupdate,
I have no problems.

This won't be much help to you but I'm running a LinkSys WPC54GS (Super G PC Card) which uses the Odyssey client and it works fine. No ODSERVICE.DLL (C:\Program Files\Funk Software\Odyssey Client\odservice.dll) errors.

I clean installed 98SE and SP2.01 before installing the WiFi card. I picked up the same LinkSys card just last week and it works fine in another notebook.

edit// Hmm, maybe it works on mine because I installed the driver after 2.01.

Hi, Could you update or re-install your drivers?
ktndwn
I have tried to update and reinstall the WLAN drivers before and after SP 2.0.1.

It just gets broken whatever I try smile.gif

I will try to do a clean install next with all the other stuff including SP 201 before WLAN drivers.

Well, it didn't help. I installed 98SE and SE SP 2.0.1 and after that drivers for Zyxel.
Result: ODhost error. :/
