I believe it's since version Version: 71.84 Release Date: March 11, 2005 and it's UT99 (the old version) with 436 patch applied
I tought this was a known problem, when I install the new drivers it plays with, let's say 2 Frames/sec.

Well i looked into ya story cuz i had the same falut so this how i fixed it....
1) go to ya UT folder then System Folder
2) cut Unrealtorment & user .inf file and paste desktop ( incase ya mess it up )
3) now start up UT and shud work but soon ya change the Resoultion it die again.
4) so then u go bk to ya System folder and open UnrealTournament.inf file
5) look for a bit text that say UsePrecache=True what you do is replace it wiv.. UsePrecache=False and Start up unreal and dats it workin as good as the old days.
