I am using Internet Explorer 6 SP1 on Win98SE.
After some time the IE6 does not display pictures. When that happens, following the steps mentioned in Microsoft KB283807 "Pictures Are Not Displayed on Web Sites in Internet Explorer" does not solve the problem, it can only be solved by "Repair"-ing IE6 in the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
Anyone has the same experience and found the solution to prevent it?

I had this problem on Windows XP. Do you have Norton Internet Security or another software firewall installed? If so, try disabling it and try the sites you're having problems with.

Thanks to the_guy.
But no, I don't use neither one of those.

It does sound as if some piece of software is breaking it. Does the repair tool tell you which file it found corrupt? Other than a misguided system utility though, I'm not sure why it break except on install. Try keeping a note of programmes you've used before it breaks.
Also what happens when you try and open just an image after this has occured?

You mean only the page shows up without any images?
What if you use another browser??
