Well if I edit logo.sys from RPlite5 or 6 and change something
on pic than bmp file is 921,654 bytes...
but in original option is logo.sys with 308,278 bytes...
I use PhotoFiltre and every is correct but when booting PC
there is only black screen (nothing)...
I would like to change progress bar possition,its location on screen
and some diferent logo...
Is that possible!?

Aah... Everything is possible, of course.
Original logo.sys is 256-color, that's why it is that size.
You should convert your to 256-color one.

Source codes for WLL are available on previous pages.
Progress bar coordinates are highlited.
Just change and recompile.

That's problem with RPLite6, where i had to update many icons with registry method and i haven't updated all of them.

Please post some screenshots of that old icons or new ones you would like to update.

I got a problem. When using lameskin and internet/windows explorer, backspace no longer works in the address bar.

Here's my bug report for the new RPLite 6 Software Panel.

Most stuff is graphical, but I discovered I could not use all functionallity under Windows XP.



1. After removing TweakUI the display is not updated.
2. Empty space displayed. When resizing windows this space won't go away



1. When Maximized on Windows 98SE the Software Panel gets drawn behind the taskbar.



1. On Windows XP no white space is displayed next to the Size dialog (Green)
2. An horizontal scrollbar shows up anytime. None of the Software Titles is too large, so this shouldn't happen.
3. Inconsistence use of checkboxes. First checkbox enables something (show). Second one disables something (hide). I would like it to be consistant.
4. Type to Search.. is displayed nearly unvisible. Please display it a bit darker.
5. Bug under Windows XP. When I want to do install a new program, or do a system rollback, this dialog shows up. It doesn't work after reboot either


Software Panel won't start when Unlocker assistant is not running.

Except for these minor issues it is a great program. I would like also to request a feature. When pressing F5 I would like to have the installed software list rebuild.

Program crashes when entering text in inputbox on a clean Windows 98SE machine. Probably to do with the auto-input text option. I would like it to have also a browse... button here. Typing in complete paths is difficult for most people.

I am working on polish translation for "Programs Panel". It should be done in a few days.

I tried to install RP Lite6 on my Win98SE and had same problem again:
error while extracting file "docprop.dll" (when installing RP5 the file was "dimm.dll").
So i couldn't finish RP instalation.

Another thing:
the "!" sign next to Graphic Card. In RP5 setup (english only) this was ok.
I have GeForce MX440.

Make sure:
1) You're pointing to dir which contains win_*.cab. Check if CD is readable.
2) You have working extrac32.exe.

Yes, of course.
All RPLite versions can be reinstalled on top of older (upgrading) and even newer(downgrading).

RPLite 6+ will be released today, i hope.

Could you add an option to override language setting i.e. i preffer my programs to be in english instead of local language.

You can change your programs language when installing RPLite (in dropdown combo).
You can also change your system language after installing RPLite, however, it will also affect fonts and codepages you using.

And if you don't want Add/Remove programs in your language, why'd you translated it?

I have not used Revolutions Pack before, but if it's stable I probably include it as an option in my Windows 98SE integrator project. So that's the main reason I translate it and try to catch bugs.

Well, i have my own secret Windows 98SE integrator project and when RPLite will be finalized, it will eventually arise in it.
You're free to include RPLite [with credit ofcoz], anyway my project will contain much more features.

Common, please cooperate. I don't like doing stuff twice. I already have working fully updated MDAC 2.8 SP1 and Jet 4.0 SP8 optional components to replace the Windows 98SE one's.

I want to buid a custom distro with fully updated components, but all optional, so you can also have a kind of Windows 98 Lite if you want.

I know; that's the problem.
I want to build modern all-updated Win98 with amost none optional components at all, but everything shrinked to mininum. Making optional components is a long and dirty work so i don't mind doing it.
I'm concentrated with new drivers, new/replaced tools, updated graphics and super-new-ultra-cool installer.

I'm still in the progress to convert all new stuff to the Advanced inf Installation Structure. It shouldn't be too hard to convert it later on to a new installation format. It's a lot of work to do testing and such, but since I already have finished the work on some components succesfully adding new components should go faster now.

Okay; if you'll need help with making RPLite as optional component, ask me.
Although i have doubts if it possible to make it fully optional/easy uninstallable one.
