As far as i know RPLite can't cause this.
You can try to install RPLite without "Applets Update"

tihiy, I don't get any errors. When I plug in the usb stick or mouse, nothing happens, when I uninstall ur program the my notebook detects a new usb product.

Edit I reinstalled rplite and deselect gebruikersomgeving, the second option of the menu of the setup. I see no difference.

Edit2 look at the attachment,I only installed windows me, ati rage software, windows update, ur software, power dvd.
I formatted 3 times my notebook....

I'm thinking that the problem could be that you are trying to install rplite on a non english windows version...

It's not a reall big problem for me.
What I do is install windows ME, then my usb mouse, usb stick, usb whatever...
then I install rplite, And I can work with the usb devices which are installed before rplite.
When I have a new usb reader/stick I need to deinstall rplite, install the usb and reinstall rplite

But I can live with it (but it was nice if there was a solution for it, because wmp 9 and directX are broken after reinstall rplite)

Honestly, i don't recommend installing RPLite under ME.

tihy: i found the time to test rplite6++. as i said i own a german win98se version. when i run the installer, the installer hangs when trying to patch the browseui.dll 266. when i run in safe mode it say that the error is in unicows.dll. how to fix this?

Oh. The problem is, RPLite does not support German 98 . To fix this, you must install English browseui.dll (for example, you can extract it from latest cumulative update: http://www.mdgx.com/files/IE925454.EXE). When installing RPLite, you must select English language in dropdown.
Or you can install RPl6 without toolbar icons update.

the menu doesnt open in my ff browser to vote for more stars
so i replaced the browseui.dll and it worked. then the shell32.dll has been copied without problems. after that "docprop.dll Extracting failed" and i had to exit the installer

If it is a bad karma, try this:

extract RPLite6++ archive to c:\RPLite6
copy win_8.cab to c:\RPLite6
specify c:\RPLite6 as path
make sure you haven't used 98Lite/IERadicator and other bul***** to remove extrac32.exe

I have major issues on setting up the taskbar vertically. However it seems to work when I disable the systray.exe program. Tihiy why don't you disable the launch of systray.exe automaticly on setup, since apparently you won't need it anymore.

It's impossible. This is a standard behavior: when you try to kill explorer, it tries to shut down. If not shutdown, it dies in 20 seconds.
I don't believe systray has something to do with this.

When microsoft paint is minimized and I do a right click in .. Example a 200x200 white screen the menu opens outside of it instead of being next to the cursor.

A Request: Windows 2000 and above, internet connection lights is system tray. I'm usening connected always to internet with ADSL(ethernet PCI card). But systray no lights. I've recalled again: you can just use rpconfig.exe to disable lameskin and this must fix your emule.

Tested the new release of rplite, I installing works good on the Windows ME system only when booted taskbar hangs, (not visible the clock and quicklaunch). This will not change when you End task Explorer.exe and open the task explorer (still hanging but visible again the clock and quicklaunch)

It can froze only if you've selected German language while you have English browseui.dll.

There is no command in dos to restore everything back.
If your system boots into GUI, press Ctrl-Alt-Del, select 'New task (Run)' and run rpuni
If you can't reach GUI, you must restore files from \windows\revbckup manually from dos (i'll recommend file manager like VC).

There is no System Restore in Win95/98; that function has been implemented only starting with Millenium.
There is scanreg /restore that can be used in DOS mode, but that is only restoring the registry to a previous working set, not the system files that have been replaced. So if you want to restore some system files, you have to do it manually, and you must be absolutely sure what you're doing, or you may scr3w your system up worse.

Thanks . For if you want to use 98SE2ME as well , this HAS to be installed before that. For some reason (and I tested this on 2 clean installs), if you do this after 98se2me then the inf installer complains it cant find setupapi and if you try manually ; your computer freezes before the logon screen.
