It is excellent, however, it is technically almost impossible to make it work properly under 9x.

This is a second option I have done for the AeroVista Taskbar, if people want to test this out, simply replace :

By the extracted .rar files from the attached .rar below.
Please make sure that you will do some backup files in case you will not like my work.
The only problem is resizing/moving the TaskBar.. It will badly strech the fade and the vista orb will look really weird.
So don't move it just keep it like the screenshot of it.

I have tested this release in VMWARE Workstation 6 beta.

The installation is much improved. No need to change things afterwards.

I tested again locking the taskbar vertical. This still results in an explorer crash. Explorer than is restarted but it is impossible to get the taskbar back. The only solution is to uninstall Revolutions Pack.
There are still some issues with translation. The biggest issue is the dialog to add Windows Components from the Software menu is completely English.

I can help you to update dutch translation if necessary.

Well, i've been able to reproduce it although in most cases it worked for me.
You shouldn't uninstall RP: if situation went that bad, you can apply windows standard theme, relogon and unlock small piece still visible.

ACHERON : I had this problem, just change your skin to another skin and then, while the loading between the skins you will see a small taskbar appearing, rapidly right click on it before it disapears and uncheck lock the TaskBar in the menu.

Well, it is simple to add new theme.
Open Appearance and save existing theme under new name, for example, "AeroSoft".
Then go to \windows\resources and make a copy of "aeroblue" (or vista, royale, etc) folder named also "AeroSoft".

Then replace images and edit skin.ini in your "AeroSoft".
If you have specific question about skin.ini, ask it.

All right, I found some bugs:

- After ScanDisk finishes scanning during startup, the loading screen doesn't appear.
- When switching between windows, if you click on a title bar of a window that is maximize behind another window, the window in front still appears.
- When restarting in MS-DOS mode, the prompt now shows a "Bad command..." message before showing the Windows 98 copyright message.

If my computer stays about 1 h opened the ressources are slowly going down.

Sometimes desktop elements are showing on the IE window.

If there is no work around it, how can I uninstall it. 93% of all my programs lie in the Start button.

I just reinstalled Windows 98 this morning, and really don't want to do another fresh install.

You should be able to get to the Start menu by using the CTRL+ESC hotkey. That is, until something will be done in this regard. Still a better alternative to reinstalling, IMHO.

Sorry i can't fix fix bug for 98 FE, coz i don't have it.
In next version [if there is ] taskbar skinning may be reinvented so this bug can be cured.

Hello, i have retorned to the win9x and i want install the RP7, but i am want know if my pc is compatible, the configuration is:

I pretty sure that your PC is compatible with RP if it has a video card that supports 32-bit color mode.

it doesnt absolutely have to be a video card that is 32bit compatible
i have a computer which has an intel 810 video chipset which supports only up to 24bit
however rp7 does not look as good without 32bit

I also have RP on i810 and it shows 32-bit images - I don't know how but it does. When I said it requires 32-bit color mode i meant about fully compatible machine...

If i install the Revolutions Pack Seven on a system with Maximus Decim Native USB ver.2.2 the drivers will disapear?
And if i want uninstall my files will be restored completely?
And a suggestion for tihiy, why you don't make a stand alone port of lame skin without any kernel modification, with only the Vista Taskbar and Titlebar?

Because it requires a lot of other RP functions and it would be absolutely ridiculous to make a stand-alone version of LameSkin.

rp doesnt have modified kernel functions
rp wont kill nusb 2.2 or what ever version
lameskin probably only works by having all the ME files installed

By the way... when i use RP7--, sometimes the computer freezes during startup....

Where are 2 type of startup hangs i expirience:
1) After logo, before GUI. It hangs often, however, that's typical for virtual machine with updated 98.
If you do expirience it, please look your bootlog.prv [after you perform logging boot]
2) After GUI/logon or after taskbar. This is a recoverable hung. This bug is mostly fixed in next version. As a workaround, you may try to uninstall Microsoft Family Logon.

You are right, it was freezing only inside Virtual PC 2004....
