well i ran the setup on a spare install, it simply extracts to a program files folder with a link placed on the desktop (i assume to install files) i've not installed it yet (i probably won't as i'm working on some theming stuff myself just now)

as far i can see it contains -

hacked Browseui.dll for altering the toolbar and an explorer.exe with XP icons

my XPish boot logo

the w2kcolours theme.inf

these are all packaged in the .exes xptoolbar.EXE, xpexplorer.EXE, xpbootlogo.EXE, w2kcolours.EXE

something called XPIRaider.exe (for installing icons)

something called 'bootdisk - WIN98.EXE' (?)

a few other tiny files i assume are involved with the installation process -

ulimatexpdreamtheme.exe (this is 4MB ish, maybe the installer ?)

CD_Start.exe
Autorun.inf
Start.txt
ico.ico

PS. almost forgot places a folder in the start menu as well, with 2 links
1. XP EXTREME pointing to CD_Start.exe (the desktop one points to this too)
so on second thoughts i don't know what ulimatexpdreamtheme.exe is
2. Uninstall XP EXTREME FOR 98SE pointing to Uninstal.exe

As timeless alias SmokeyJoint had already repackaged RP 3.6 for distribution on Softpedia, I was afraid this could be a repackage of RP4 (maybe this 4 MB ulimatexpdreamtheme.exe as RP4 is also 4 MB) which erases your system backup directory. Beware of that pack.

Revolution Pack 4.0 does not work on my system unless i install it completely. And when i install it the whole computer slows down, every application runs slowly even the games produce extremely low fps. Probably this is to do with the kernelxp, just a guess.

just some personal question to timeless
1. what benefits this software/pack compare with Tihiy revolution pack 4.0c with LameSkin available?
2. i have use xpraider before and it always crash when i patched the icon, interesting?
3. toolbar bitmap on browseui.dll for sure have a different size (heightxwidth) than xp use on shell32.dll (both the large or small icon) did you noticed it?

use it be amazed just the dream theme along kicks a**. and have u heard or read any complaints .nope party on dudes.

timeless, your lack of actual screenshots of how 98 looks when styled as XP obviously makes users suspicious and not deem you as the most reliable distributor for what you're actually offering. People ask for screenies and more detailed info but your posts simply contain a ":hello:" as if you expect that to answer everyone. Anyway, I'm actually going to try this out.

Review of "XP EXTREME FOR 98SE".

The Theme is O.K. But it slows down the whole computer. It applies a strange very bright colour scheme to User Interface looks exactly like Windows 2000 but So bright that it made my eyes water. In short it looks ugly.
I read somewhere that Windows 2000 colour scheme and Windows Xp icons make a good combination.

Startup Logo is good.

Explorer does noting special.

Icons are o.k.

However all these can be achieved with Revolution Pack 4.0 which i used not lite but the last full revolution pack. It looks awesome, but kernel xp causes problems.

solution? don't use kernel xp cause Tihiy said it's very buggy so he remove it on rp lite, i often use rp full pack too

whats the deal with this thread? its just spam, he just stealed others work and joint it in a single exe (im guessing).. and these screenshots look really ugly, and its a pretty incomplete pack (exept for the "xp home edition" start menu bar, it looks good, however, i have it disabled, and also, a "xp professional edition" would read better)
