Hi, Ive got a notebook, dont run any utility for power management, because Im happy with the Power meter from microsoft. The only thing that is disturbing me, are the ugly icons in the taskbar. I couldnt localize the powermeter dll or exe file. Tried a few things, but couldnt help myself. no.gif Any help is hugely appreciated. Thanks, laser

It's batmeter.dll (I think) or something like that. Bitmap 301 (that much I know).

Have a look in the XPize section for the bitmap that XPero uses in XPize.

the battery/plug icon? if so then go to control panel>power options>advanced>uncheck "Always show icon on the taskbar"

zxian thanks, but no luck with that, I tried already close to everything, including the batmeter.dll. It changes the power meter tab under power options, but the power meter that is shown in my taskbar seems to be something else. Thanks anyway. Now Im gonna take a look at the xpize. bye

well if its something else then its prolly another program that came with the comp. look in the task manager under processes and try to find something that would have to do with it. a screen shot of it would also be hepful.
