Strange, it doesn't do that for me. I've used it almost a dozen times on as many different machines too.

I install daemontools at a different point now , and now it works.

Yea this based on the new 7.0.4 QuickTime and I think Apple is having problems with it. They released an uninstaller / downgrader so that people can go back to 7.0.1 I think. I'm going to hold off and see if they release a "fixed" 7.0.5 which should then spurn the release of a new QuickTime Alternative.

I'm seriously starting to get burned out on this, not to mention I'm way behind at work and on some other projects. I'm going to finally start work on Nero 7. My plan is to make 3 or 4 installers for Nero. The main installer that just installs Nero Burning ROM itself, and then others that would require the first be installed already. I'm thinking one would have NeroVision, Cover Editor, and Wave Editor. Another would be InCD only, and the last would be everything else except BackItUp and ImageDrive (both useless in my book). This way there are some choices as to what you want or don't want, but I'm not going to deviate and make custom packages for people. I'm not even certain that I'll be able to do right what it is I want to do.

Jedi82: what could be easyer than that? just type -makeunattended and you get screen with all the instructions what and how to do.

yes i know but media player classic will not associate the extension and don't work well my mega codec makeunattended, i will try again!

I silent install the K-Lite codec pack with no switches by following step 3 of the -makeunattened screen. haven't ran into a problem with it yet.

I had made an installer for Spybot V1.4 before I even made this thread but it had issues with the windows installer popping up. Hopefully these problems have been taken care of, but I won't know for certain until the next time they release detection updates. The SpywareBlaster installer not only includes the most recent definition update, but I also integrated the ActiveX block list found at spywareguide.com. My apologies to those who tried to download the .msi file downloads for the four titles mentioned above, but nobody bothered to tell me the links were bad. I only discovered the issue from looking over the report generated by my host.

Regarding requests. I am not going to be taking requests at this time. I have far too much on my plate right now as it is. And frankly, some of these requests baffle me. PuTTY is one single executable file. If you need an installer made for that, there are more serious issues you should be addressing. In case anyone hasn't looked over my Update Pack, PuTTY is a part of that package. I already made an installer for QuickPar and I'm quite satisfied with that utility, so I won't be making an installer for hkSFV anytime soon.

And much enjoyment I be having with them too cos your work is so immaculate. I also adore the way you install to program files sub-directories cos I use the same system as you there ( I hate messy program directories too hehehe) and it saves me having to rewrite addon packs to go to places I prefer to install stuff such as Programs/Security/TrueCrypt

You can always decompress the installer and edit the script yourself if you want it to install to the default. And I specifically stated that I turned off autostart. Just enable it, or again, edit the script to not disable it.

dont suppose you would care to make a msi installer for .net 2.0???

Download .NET from Microsoft and decompress the self-extracting .exe file. There you will find an .msi file.

I haven't tried and I'll tell you why. I always install .NET 1.1 from svpack.inf and then .NET 2.0 from RunOnceEx, even on my RIS installs. Everything else I push through GPO. The thing is that I've read a few things about it being not a good thing to uninstall .NET or if you do to uninstall in a particular order, etc. I looked at it this way - if it's not assigned via GPO, then there's less chance that another guy in the office will uninstall it from an entire OU with a couple clicks of the mouse. Whether intentional or accidental I don't want it to happen. And at least with .NET 1.1 being installable from svcpack.inf, any programs pushed from a GPO will install afterwards. Sadly the same can't really be said for .NET 2.0. There's a bug (intentional?) in Microsoft's installer for .NET 2.0 that prevents it from being installed from svcpack.inf.

If you want to use a crack version, why not integrated alpatch to just one installer/switchless.
In your instruction, there are need to appply alpatch after installing alcohol.

How can i silently run the imported registry settings code to enable the Pro feature. i mean right after running your Winamp.exe setup.

Alcohol 120% can be install with silent mode or integrated to svpack.
But it still need an online activation, mean by exporting serial number to registry will not activate the product.

The 4 files as you mention is for what? I guess alpatch is a crack for alcohol.

I'm going to be making nLite/RVM addons from most of the installers here and add them in to the listing. This is going to take some time as I will simultaneously be doing maintenance updates to most of the installers and refreshing them as well. And of course I have updates of existing programs to repack besides.

I will also be including the MD5 values for both .msi installers and .cab addons. Again this will take some time to complete. The file size listing is going to only reflect the file size of the switchless silent installer as previously done.

This little snippet here sets the variable strOEM to the \OEM directory on your install CD/DVD:

You can change \OEM to pretty much whatever you like so long as it's on the install media. If you don't want the switchless silent installer executed from the CD/DVD media at all, but rather you've placed it inside \$OEM$\$1 so that it winds up on the root of your system drive, then simply replace this little part:
with
