Martijn
MSFN of course smile.gif
K e n
Not just Google, I have all my machines set to
Google Suggest
Martijn
This feature has been added to FireFox ages ago, Find While You Type or something...
Synapse
google of course, when i double click my browser icon i want it up and running, so i can either search right then and there, or type in an address like msfn.org.

i've moved so many people from yahoo to google just because of the loading time diffrences.
Martijn
Yeah, Google is really fast smile.gif

Homepage ? what is that? smile.gif
I do google searches from opera's address bar.
And have no use to waste space on a "home" icon on a menu...I have 10-20 pages/tabs open, and Opera set to resume-from-last-session on startup.
breadandbubbles
having "about:blank" sounds like the stupidest thing ive ever heard. id never even considered it.

can someone PEASE explain the sense in that?
Crash&Burn
When you open your browser it doesn't "go anywhere" or attempt any outbound connections - it just displays a blank screen. For IE, thats where my homepage is set to, for the odd time I have to even open that browser.

Like Crash&Burn said, the browser doesn't do anything on startup. It means that it's waiting for me to tell it where I want to go (since I don't always go to the same place when I open Opera). As for Google searches, it's a matter of typing g Some random stuff and Opera redirects me here.

That being said, it's about:blank for me. biggrin.gif

about:blank for me too!

Firefox already has a google bar and MSFN is in bookmarks so I want my browser clean.

Google. Fast, Light, and Useful.
HyperHacker
localhost. Specifically, file:///F:/html/homepage.html. It uses Javascript to generate a page with various statistics and webcomics on it. biggrin.gif

In IE I use about:blank, because I only ever use IE to view random HTML files on my HD to see how they look.

Well about:blank I have as the default in IE (I install all computers that way too, then adjust to customer preferences) cuz sometimes there's no net connection and it's just painful waiting for IE to timeout...

As far as the browser I actually use newwink.gif Firefox, I've kept it @ it's default. If nothing else, to boost the statistics of how much FF is run.... (of course mostly with Cookies set to session only).

Google
horsecharles
4 home pages on FF w/ the foxPose extension(each takes up 1/4 of screen simultaneously)... one of them is the customized Google page with one of its tabs being MSFN.
LLXX
about:blank. I don't like it automatically grabbing from some site whenever I start it, especially because I never visit sites in a particular order every time.
DL.
nVnews.net - A tech info site, had it for years but may replace it with MSFN or some other tech news site.

In FF also Yahoo!-Mail.

about:blank for me on my laptop. A lot of the time I'm on a 1.4 kbps connection through my cell phone, so even google wastes time. For anything hooked to an ethernet line, though, gets google thumbup.gif

For my laptops, since I never know in advance whether or not I begin browsing online, I set it to about:blank. Favorites menu makes it easy enough to navigate from there. My personal desktop is set to:

http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en.
LeGaS
about:blank, for sure. biggrin.gif
