i was in NYC for the weekend and while i was there i happened to be in the toys r us store

i went to the gaming section in hope to see the xbox 360 and i did. this kid was playing call of duty 2 and the graphics completely sucked, and i mean sucked. i dont know if its the game or the tv or what but they could have been much better.

with my experience in console gaming, the games for new concoles usually crap out on graphics. I think this is because each system and its capabilites are new to the developers and they are niot quite familiar with its workings yet. i know it took most of a year for Xbox to reach its potential the first time. id expect the same this time.

there actually isn't much noticable difference unless you have an HDTV...which sucks for me...the xbox looks crappy enough on my tv. my tv is so bad, it can't have a straight line....

There is a huge difference when the 360 is hookep up to HTDV. which i dont have either

Here in the uk we have one im my local electronic store. and only a few games are playable
Call of duty...OMG they changed nothing what a joke
King Kong...Woow thats some nice graphics.
Kameo? looks like crash bandicoot on the Ps2 and as usual the rest are pre rendered junk videos. Its true that better things will come but man I aint impressed

If you want to see some shots that give some example of how a 360 looks on a HDTV, check out the pics at
this page here and see for yourself.
There aren't many in game shots, its mainly showing off XBox Live, but CHRIST! THAT RESOLUTION!

alot of the kiosks are using pre-release versions of the game. as for playing it on a dell 2405, i'd rather play at 720p on a 50" screen.

How many HDTV outs is the Xbox 360 able to support? I read that the PS3 supposedly will drive 2 HDTVs at the high resolutions simultaneously.

i think you might be off on that one (or i might

), i read something earlier about making a 2d panel more "3d" by overlapping 2 screens basically, but the issue came down to monitor/tv support. i'll see if i can dig up the link.

Could I hook a computer minot into the xmos somehow? Would that get good graphics?

^ You can connect an xbox 360 to a computer monitor through a vga cable, there is no dvi or hdmi support though.
I actually played with one of these systems for a couple hours, i was impressed. Perfect Dark is crap, Kameo is awesome, and the system handled Quake4 very well.

Is there a special cable or something to connect up the xbox360 to the monitor???
Remembering that I'm from the land of OZ and x360's don't come out until next March

With a name like Porn Loader I dont think biting you would be a good idea for me!
I didnt read about the 2d being overlapped to make 3d...sounds kind of lame as you would need glasses then to be able view the 3d effects.

personally i agree with the OP, even compared to my friends comp were all the settings are at the lowest, COD2 looks bad in comparison on 360 (haven't seen any high res, but personally i don;t like console FPS's nearly as much as PC ones)

I Don't really care for the Xbox 360 The ps3 will be the Best!

i really dont see any room for debate...the xbox is far better than playstation. the online capabilities, the harddrive, the 9 ft. long controller cords on their first xbox. they want their customers to be happy! this new system of theirs has everything, while still maintaining the classification of "gaming console", not pc. there is nothing about the ps2 thats better than the xbox.
of course i dont mean graphics. naturally, the latest system will often have the best graphics. PS3 will look better than xbox360, and xbox 3 will look better than PS3. of course, thats why xbox looks better on screen than PS2...
but ps2 didnt even TRY to offer good services. i HATE memory cards! i love putting my music on the harddrive and listening to custom tracks as i play.
some of you out there might be saying "but the PS2 GAMEs are better than xbox!"
well my friends, that is becoming less and less of an issue. if any of you have looked, these new xbox360 games are pretty much the same price as the xbox games from the first system. most systems have to maintain a low price to be competitive. not to MENTION the incredible rise in hacking and modding lately.
so how is it that game developers can still charge the same prices, with the cost of developing increasing due to the complexity and graphics, of the games, but without experienceing a serious increase in sales?
porting!
thats right my friends, it will be very far and few between that you will find a game exclusive for only one system. sure, every system has their own line. mario, for instance. PS2 has a number, so does xbox. but more and more you are seeing that virtually all decent games are becoming available for more than one system.
its basically coming down to the system now, not the games (more and more, i mean. not yet though).
and xbox is a far better system in general, putting aside all graphic capabilities which improve with eack system anyway.

The XBox 360 graphics are going to be amazing, give it some time. Game developers are getting used to the new technology the 360 has in store. But when i played it, it looked so real. It wasn't call of duty, i forgot what game it was, racing though.

You're making a lot of assumptions and comparison with a system that hasn't even come out yet.
