ME should never have happened. Win98 was supposed to be the end of the road for any of the 9x line. IMO ME was just Microsoft throwing in a release to keep up the release cycle and suckering people into wasting the money paying for it.

Yeh i think all of the win9x os's suck, but ME is by far the worst. When I was forced to run it due to my pc freezing up with win2k/xp/2k3 because of an argument they had with my old isa nics and sound card, I would get a bsod every time i went on the net, at random. Very Frustrating, especially whilst in the middle of a download

Win98FE was probably the most bugged for me on my old Pentium 166mhz (MMX... woohoo! )

Not sure, I think Microsoft released it because 98 was starting to get dated, complete mess up though.

Windows 2000 was released in December 1999, and WinME in March 2000 (AFAIK). Windows 2000 Professional soon evolved from being a business OS to a desktop OS when SP1 came out.

not sure... longhorn is still on deployment, xp home and pro are nearly similar, the same for win98, 98se and me if we forget updates and real dos mode and what windows sucks... DOS? i'll definetly go for this but i think is the best OS ever

I'm not sure why MS-DOS 6.22 is listed as a version of Windows; may as well add Mac OS and CP/M to the list. Speaking of which I actually prefer MS-DOS 6.21 since it does not have all that disk compression bloatware.

Microsoft Bob wasn't a version of Windows either, just a kid's shell for Windows 3.1

Worst version of Windows is definately 1.0, with 2.0 running a close second. You didn't list them or even 3.1 as an option though (curious since you did list DOS) so I guess I can't vote. Oh ok, out of those I'll say ME.

This is funny. I have always told personal friends and relatives that ME is buggiest. I mean, I thought 98SE was bad enough, but then I tried ME.
