Total = 55 Win* hotfixes + wpm10setup + msxmlcab +scriptes = 58 hotfixes

2) After run HFSLIP, vmware it, and probe it, only one Hotfix wasn't HFSLIPPED (KB909520)
My solution: I add to svcpack.inf as Q909520.exe /S and install OK (integrated)

3) WU work ok for first run, and show only 1 critical update (the fuc*** WGA) and 4 suggested updates (WMC 2.0, .Net 2.0, Spanish language package for .Net 1.1, HighMat CD) thumbup.gif
Note: HFSLIP integrate (via svcpack.inf) netfxsp1.exe + KB890830 = 3 hotfixes

4) I HFSLIPPED WMP10 Spanish (version 10.0.0.3802). It runs OK, but when I try to update WMP, the updater says that one newer version is available, and download WMP10 version 10.0.0.3802 !!!!! (the same version slipstreamed). I know that WMP10 last version is 4332, but only english. I suppose that is a bug from WMP, or is missing reg key from HFSLIP...... whistling.gif

After this long introduction, the questions are here:
5) HFSLIP slipstreamed 58 hotfixes, but only 37 are showed by NirSoft WinUpdateList (including .net 1.1 + SP1 + KB890830) and 35 by qfecheck. Why the others updates are not show as installed ? (but WU don't offers install these updates, at least)

6) the BIG QUESTION: Why Nlite don't work with this HFSLIPPED CD ? I install Nlite in the vmwared machine (for isolate installation) and have the same problem: Nlite stopped "Preparing task" and never terminate (the progress bar is working, but never advanced from "Preparing task").

I think that the changes made by HFSLIP "confuse a bit " Nlite. I can send you the files that you need for check any posible bug, at least that is a nlite bug and not one HFSLIP bug.

Thanks for make HFSLIP, is a great tool and save me a lot of time (nlite too !!!) thumbup.gif
Again, sorry for my terrible english.

In the previous thread you started, I suggested that you verify your hotfix list. I'll have to ask you again since you didn't do anything. You have a few outdated and replaced ones.
Check here:
http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=62177 (My favorite)
http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=58747
http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=31886

The reason why you may not see some hotfixes not listed is because (it's technical so bear with me) the update infs that are part of the hotfix delete the replaced/outdated hotfix registry entries. This is why you aren't seeing some of the hotfixes. The nirsoft program only displays entries in the registry (just like wu4). IMO you are far better off with using an alternate hotfix checker as described on the "how to use hfslip" webpages as opposed to registry-only checkers.

Implementation of WMP10 isn't the greatest, but it's a shot on my part. If the "check for updates" bugs you that much, put the wmp installer in the HFSVPK_SW folder instead. FYI, there are FAR better media players than WMP. If it's missing a reg key, report back with the key so I can check it out and fix.

The nlite Q... Once you get all your hotfixes figured out, give nlite a try again and post back with your error_report file. I really can't help without it. Also, give NLITE some time too. Have you tried NLITE on a barebones XPSP2?

Last point, a recommended fix doesn't mean mandatory fix. smile.gif

Tommy, I used nlite before and don't have this problem, reason for write this thread. Thanks again for your reply, I'll read the suggested threads and try again (with fewer updates)

What are your NLITE settings? Can you attach your nlite settings ini file?
