I would like to convert my replays to viewable media file.

OK I tried fraps and thats crazy, I had a 500mb movie in like 30 seconds, and it slowed the game large.

you probably need to select a better compression

Fraps records your game as Raw AVI, so yes it's going to be huge. But 500MBs for 30 seconds, no. I can play for about 30 minutes and end up with about 16GBs. You just trim it up in VirtualDub, encode to XviD/DivX with a bitrate of 1500-2000 kbps and delete the original files.
