Everytime I try to open Internet Explorer6, download Macromedia Flash Player or make/receive a call on Skype Internet Phone, I get the following:
....
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

X Runtime Error

Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\EXPLORE.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
.....
Does anyone have experience with this problem and a solution? Your help is appreciated.

edit - you changed the filename tongue.gif

unless thats a typo you posted EXPLORER.EXE should not be in that folder (and may be a virus)
http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintas...brary/explorer/

EXPLORER.EXE in the WINDOWS folder is OK
and
IEXPLORE.EXE in the Program Files\Internet Explorer folder is OK
anything else isn't.

hit Google, do some scans, (possibly delete it) and watch your startup for unusual entrys etc.

edit - GAWD you changed the filename again wacko.gif look if its called EXPLORE.EXE its definately a virus
look at this Google search mmmkay. whistling.gif
