Hi all,

I hope someone can help me with a little problem. It isn't major, but it is an asspain.

I recently had to do a reformat in Win982nd and I've been doping out some boot problems, but in fixing some, I got another that has me baffled, because I can't think why it started.

In a nutshell, every time I boot, I get the Windows boot menu - you know, normal, logged, safe, etc. I have to choose an option before boot will complete. It never did this before. I suspect that it started when I was doing clean boot troubleshooting, but I'm d*mned if I know why or what I did to make this start happening. But I'd really like it to stop, please. Can anyone offer a pointer? I'm stumped. It's a stupid problem, but it's mine own, unfortunately.

Thanks in advance, ya'll, I appreciate it.

Open MSDOS.SYS in the root with a text editor, and find BootMenu line. Set it to 0 or delete the line completely, then save the file and reboot.

get tweakui here http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/dow...g/nttweakui.asp
Make adjustments like mine or turn off splash or whatever......

You'll probably end up unchecking the bottom one.
