I just downloaded a copy of a Windows 98 SE CD-ROM. It was packed as a .rar file, so i just unpacked it and put it on a CD. I put the CD i recently burned in the computer and then restart it. But it doesn't show anything to the screen, it only says "Reading CD-ROM drive" and then it continues to windows. Why is that?

How do I make it bootable? blushing.gif

you need to either
a) use a bootable floopy to load to dos, and run setup.exe from there ro
b)add a boot image file to a new cd with 98 se on it

if you go to http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm and then click on any of the 98 files, any will help you

What was in the RAR? Was it an ISO?

I think you burned the ISO itself as a file on the CD instead of as a CD-image itself.
