I don't use Linux much but I like KDE a lot.

*sigh*... here we go again laugh.gif !!!

In order of preference:

GNOME > FluxBox > OpenBox > XFDE > KDE
Scubar

For best EyeCandy == KDE
For simplicity == IceWM,FluxBox
rjdohnert
I like 5DWM
XP_2600
For me
Gnome looks best.
KDE function best.

gnome all the way newwink.gif

kde and xfce are not that bad tongue.gif
xpmaniac4ever
I like GNOME better, but KDE is faster so I end up using KDE tongue.gif XFCE isn`t bad either !
Camarade_Tux
About XFCE, I find it fast, light, smooth, clean. That's why I love it. But it's clear KDE has more libs and functions. newwink.gif
WBHoenig
Gnome first, but KDE is pretty good. I felt that I was just drowning in eye candy, though, when I ran Kubuntu for a while just to test it. newwink.gif

Linux? hm. the only penguin in my house is Roto-router (WRT54GS) so no X there.

BSD? Wehn I run BSD I am always in XFCE4. I do compile KDE-Lite though for Konsole (LOVE that!) and a few other K apps I like... and i run them in XFCE.
WBHoenig
I use Gnome myself, but I don't mind KDE or XFCE or anything else.
mike_morley
For eye-candy I would have to go with Enlightenment 16 / 17. For usability KDE (but I prefer Gnome to KDE) for the most useful.... bash shell tongue.gif
-I-
xfce al the way, - for obvious reasons i guess, -

its lighter and faster than both kde and gnome, also it suits to slackwares
(i use a slack-based distro), minimalistic setup, but for sake of compatibilitie i do use the gt3 (gnome) lib for any ap that doesn't compile with a GTK+ gui,

btw openbox isn't bad either (if you want somethin even lighter than xfce).

i tried xpde once and it was pretty basic and might be ok for windows user to use because it is similar to it but for me gnome is better
harunaksoy
KDE, because it feels like XP tongue.gif oh and I also like Konqueror.
Brando569
kde (core) all the way i hate gnome!
jago_lfn
Afterstep would be my first choice followed by fluxbox.
wild weasel
1. Gnome
2. Xfce
3. Windowmaker

Not keen on KDE, I just prefer simpler WMs.
