Apparently with this service pack, after i install and reboot i have problems with microsoft installer. To fix this just type 'msiexec /unregister' into the command prompt, reboot and then type 'msiexec /regserver' and go into your services and the start the service to make sure it works.

This is just incase anyone else has the same problem.

does this problem happen with older versions of windows installer? or newer ones? or even both? perhaps Win2000 users should install MSI 3.1 first, then install Gurgelmeyer's SP.

It happens in either or scenario. I did have the same problem but I had fixed it awhile ago. I found that tip on the web somewhere else

I believe you can do this with just about any version of Windows Installer.
