Hopefully it has fixed the memory leak issues and the random crashes in Win9x.

As this will be the last official Mozilla Firefox release supporting Win9x I hope they leave us with a good browser.

What random crashes? No problems here in over a year using win98se.

Sorry meant Firefox 2 Alpha.

Firefox 1.5 only ever crashes if I
1. visit a Microsoft site like ninemsn.com.au and one of their stupid non standards compliant coding kicks in,
2. ones containing dodgy Flash animations.

I have used Firefox since a few months now.
The most recent release I used is Version 1.5.0.4, and I did not experience any problem at all.
I have tried Firefox 2 Beta 1 since it was released a few days back, also quite good, no serious problem, only minor graphics rendering problem as its predecessor.
As I am using Win98SE, the only drawback is rather slow startup.

i don't know why firefox starts slowly but I have this Preloader if you want.I if You have a good amount of memory then you can use this to preload some scripts and parts of the programs and when you start firefox it starts pretty quickly

Yes, it is.
Download W95-11D.EXE [or ZIP]:
http://www.mdgx.com/95.htm
install the EXE or extract the files from the ZIP, and then look inside SOFTWARE.TXT, under the "FREE WINDOWS 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP/2003 INTERNET BROWSERS" section.
Online, you'll find this inside the toy.htm page, under the "FREE 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP/2003 INTERNET POWER TOYS" section:
