I recently "restored" my OS and now have avg free installed again, I noticed before when I uninstall avg my mouse isn't always detected and I have to reboot or unplug an plug back in my mouse.

It's a usb mouse with proper drivers.

So now I notice the mouse is fine and dandy but from past experience, when I uninstall avg the mouse goes wonky.

Anyone know why this would be?

thanks

AVG uses a rootkit and kernel hook. Probably related to your problem.

So how do I remove this avg without corrupting my OS?

I thought avg was a nice av but i never get it to alarm for quite awhile and would like to free those extra dealies.
