I had trouble integrating patches in Paint Shop Pro X. However I managed to have it trimmed down to a 93 MB fully working installer. I will give some information on my website when I have time.

1.Download the attached file.

2.To make the installation unattended use this:

CODE
psppxi.msi TRANSFORMS=1033.mst SERIALNUMBER=xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxx /qb

3.Simply change the 1033.mst in the code above with the language that u want.
1031.mst is for German language
1033.mst for English
1034.mst for Spanish
1036.mst for French
1040.mst for Italian
1043.mst for Dutch

Hi UT_lol,

TNX for this sharing.

I've tested the English (1033) and the French (1036) install with yr .mst files.
English install OK

French install Error 2254 (see here image bellow).
Then i've tested with the original French 1036.mst file... it works.

1) May you correct yr 1036.mst file and, if possible, let me know how did you edited and modified the .mst files?

2) I have no " ACTIVATE" window come in when i launch the appz.
Moreover, i can NOT find where/how to activate it... All what i found is Help/Buy now... which doesn't invite me to activate the appz.
How do i Activate it (silently or not silently)?

Regards

coucou - I dont know what could be the problem with the french .mst-file. I edited all of them the same way with InstallShield Admin Studio. I have now tried out all of the .mst-files. And I didnt had any kind of problems @ all. I would suggest that u download the file again to be sure that it didnt get corrupt. It could also be of help if anyone else would try these and let me know.
About the activation. It will ask u to activate it AFTER your first run. By that I mean that u have to first run the program and the close it to be able to activate it.

GoodLuck!

I ran the program close it many times, i even reboot the computer... it never ask me for activation.
It could be, because i've activated it a week ago when i tested the silent install. But i deleted all the "corel" and 'Päint Shop" registry with jv16 Power Tools.
-a Where could be located the activation registry?
-b How do i know that Paint Shop is activated?

no body know how to activate silently.... @@"
darks0ul
yes, using an autoit script. Other option would be to save the activation file from computer to computer when you activate it first time.

By the way, you can uninstall PSP, the key will be there. It seems a bit difficult to remove it.

I don't really know where it is located, but using an install monitor software, like repacker, you should be able to spot it.

Anyways, when you activate it, it gives you the option to save the activation as a text file.

I'm sorry but I can't offer any help with this installation. I have decided not to upgrade to Paint Shop Pro XI, since it adds nothing useful to me over Paint Shop Pro X for its price.

I know this topic is a bit old but I found out how recover Corel Paint Shop Pro after the "this copy expired" thing, you see, the first file KGyGaAvL.sys it's okay to delete but the second one E409E98A27.sys you won't find it because the setup program on each installation creates a different file, I mean you can get that E409E98A27.sys file or a file with a different name like in my case that I got a D2FBED2A19.sys file, you can easily find the file that your installation created because it has the same modification date as the KGyGaAvL.sys file, deleting that file along the KGyGaAvL.sys will enable you to reactivate your Corel Paint Shop Pro XI again smile.gif

Just a heads up, there is an update for PSPXI out, takes it to v11.11, it also adds another service called PSIService which is Protexis Licensing Service and the program wont run unless this service is running, another reason to stick with v10.

So all Corel does for business is creating new copy protection methods, as changes between PSPX and PSPXI are minimal. They better start working on improving their tools section. Drawing Letters is still hard to deal with for example.

It looks that way, I managed to blag a copy from PC World for free as a sweetner for buying a laptop, I suppose Corel have a right to protect their software but stopping me from using the program because I don't want services running all over the place is a bit drastic, its another example of hurting the folks who buy the software or blag it thumbup.gif .

I haven't found a legal way to register the program after a silent install which affects folks who do this sort of thing realmad.gif , adding services that don't really need to be there affects folks who like to slim Windows etc so what's the point in buying it?, may as well stick with v10 for the reasons you pointed out. or as I haven't noticed any probs with this version don't update.

Hm. If you save [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Corel] and [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Protexis] keys from registry after manual activating, after a normal install (silent with serial) add the saved reg keys and you will get an ACTIVATED PSP XI. It worked for me... (I think the protexis is enough, but who knows...?)

It won't work, when the main exe is run, hidden .sys files are checked for and if not there created in the Windows System dir, one is the KGyGaAvL.sys and the other one is a randon named file that is different with every Windows install, you could activate it, back up the sys files and the protexis reg entries and reinstall PSP on the same Windows install and it should be activated, if you reload Windows on the same machine those same files wont work I have tried.

Yeah, you have right. I have tried only on my machine... I think if someone hack the main exe, this will be a real solution of activate. Or a corporate edition...
