Several 8.1 languages are available on my repository.
If your language isnt there, and Adobe has it available,
post about it here and I'll do a Lite version of it also.

Foxit is great but it has problems opening files with security info, digital signatures, etc. if you use it to open average pdf files you are well with it. if not, use adobe reader/reader lite....

In the past year I have had 3 sites shut down by leechers overwhelming download limits.
These repositories are donated by extremely kind MSFN users
who
DO NOT expect to have to pay extra for going over GB limits.
Any site direct linking to my files has their entire ISP added to the block list.
I am currently uploading all 8.1 files to a free file server... URL's soon.

I realize my releases will not meet everyone's needs.
If it wont do something you expected it to do I suggest
you uninstall the Lite version and install the full version.

This type of notification is usually caused by the installer not being able to replace a file in use such as having your web browser open during the installation. I doubt this will occur during an unattended install, but this is not tested.

If you need the online form plugin just copy the chunky 8.4MB acroform.api file from a full install to a safe spot uninstall the full version, install sharky's lite version and simply copy the said file to the program files\adobe\reader 8.0\reader\plug_ins directory and presto online form filling. I'd post the file somewhere but I'm not sure if that'd be allowed.

are you 100% sure this is the only file needed to use with forms? if so then i can now make an installer that has the feature to install this file...
thanks for pointing that out.

Jun 28 2007, 02:23 PM
Create an addon for nLite using nLaom (nLite Addon Maker).
Make a dir with name AR8 (sample), run nLaom and select this dir, in program to execute select your Acrobat reader, fill other camps and hit ok.
The addon is ok for nLite.

This pack is Swithcless installer.
My AR_LT-8v1.CAB created by nLaom install fine, no errors.
I use this structure:
[DIR]
AR_LT-8v1.EXE
In nLaom I select AR_LT-8v1.EXE under "Select Program", no swithcs are necessary and fill "Program Data".
After I click in "Make File" select the directory to create the final file.
I use the final file in nLite at tab "Hotfixes and Addons" without problem.

Nice stuff,
