Hello, i am looking for some good benchmarking sites comparing Windows 98SE with Windows 2000.

I read some where that Windows 2000 and XP because of there better memory management give more FPS in games! Is it true? But just marginally.

Any help will be appreciated. Also nlited benchmarks would be preferable.

Edit: 1

I found one using OpenGL:

Here's the link:

Still looking for D3D benchmarking.

Edit: 2

Found another link with differences between Windows 98 Drivers and Windows 2000 Drivers:

The above article is from 2001, its 2006 now, can anybody confirm if the drivers situation has changed or not? Please?

It depends on the hardware. It was believed that Pentium 4s would suffer under any pre-Windows XP OS.

Also, people said that Windows 2000 is faster than Windows XP with Athlon systems.

From my experiences:

Windows 98 SE pwned Windows XP when playing Perfect Dark with Project64 on Via KT133 based motherboards with a T-bird.

Benchmark performance sucks with non-NT based Windows on my Asus A7N8X-X, which is nForce2-based.

3D Mark 2001 SE always had lower FPS under Windows 98 SE than with Windows 2000 and Windows XP on my Asus A7N8X-X.
