Yep, the new version of dxmasf.dll didn't work for me either...

I tried streaming a radio station (using MPC) after installing the update... and received an error message that "the stream could not be rendered"...

After I replaced the new dxmasf.dll with the old, there were no problems...

I'll have to revise my unofficial WMP 6.4 pack I included in the 98fe SP and restore 6.4.7.1121 of the dxmasf.dll file. thanks to mcv93us and whatever420 for finding the problems with 6.4.9.1133 of the dxmasf.dll file.

The newer dxmasf.dll works fine for me here on a 98SE system.

I'll double check on a real system (not VM) and post back.

try loading an MP3 or a WMV or WMA file into WMP 6.4 with 6.4.9.1133 of the DXMASF.DLL file under Win98se, the_guy. Loading MP3/WMV/WMA files crashed Media Player 6.4 with an Invalid Page Fault message pointing to the DXMASF.DLL file.

Using 6.4.7.1121 of DXMASF.DLL file got rid of the crashes.

Can we close this topic, now that the problem has been fixed?

If no answer to my question, I'll close it sometime this week.

Best wishes.
