because microsft closed autopatcher i decided to remove all wmp 11 addons.
good news is that now the wmp 11 slipstreamer supports x64 xp and x64 2k3 windows.....
here is the site with all info and download links:
WMP11 Slipstreamersize: 597Kb
hash: 70C6DB311DFA9897C9ECA013260DBB39
PS
Big thanks goes to code65536 for helping with latest version.
Enjoy!!!
important:
the slipstreamer page contains all hotfixes that microsoft released for wmp11. the page is updated as soon as a new hotfix is released by microsoft. also old hotfixes that are superseeded by new ones are removed from the table. PLEASE DONT ASK WHAT HAPPENNED TO THEM........
NOTE
it seems that KB946665 is getting corrupted by M$ server. so please redownload and run the hotfix just to be sure it works.

Hi,
Thank you for this release, I downloaded one of your older version with the custom icon (orange with blue play button), it worked perfectly. I hope this is as good if not better.
One last thing, I don't suspect you have any plans to elaborate on what exactly your registry tweak file does? It isn't commented at all.
Thanks.

boooggy,
as I said before, I translated your WMP11 tweaked version addon to portuguese brazilian. I have integrated this with nlite on a winxp pro sp2 and I notice that sfc complains about a file after install. I don´t know what file is. can you confirm that or I miss something?
boooggy
Jan 18 2007, 10:47 PM
it might be tru, bolajones....
in tweaked version the wmplayer.exe is reshacked so it might casue problems with sfc.....
bolajones
Jan 19 2007, 09:02 AM
yeah, but I think this is not the problem...
I replaced your wmplayer.exe with the original one, because I needed an "original source".
I have integrated IE7 too, so, I will make one iso just with wmp11 addon to see what happens.
There is a way to know what file sfc is overwriting?

Jan 19 2007, 09:33 AM
r u using any patched files or nlite to patch any?

It's nLite's way of integrating IE7 that breaks SFC. I believe that this is a known problem.

yes. I think I used the tcp-ip patch. could this be the problem.
I will use just the addon pack to try out the virtualbox machine.
will post results later.

Hi, boooggy
When I try to install XP sp2 Italian nlited (or RVMIntegrated) only with wmp11 tweaked 1.4.5, at T-13 I get this message: unable to find file "%16422%\%MP2_FOLDER%\migrate.exe". Verify... etc and setup stops. At first boot WMP 11 is not installed.
Migrate.exe is present on XP cd. Previous versions, tweaked or vanilla, worked perfectly.
It's my fault? wmp addon has been localized but files are the same and only localized strings at the end of the infs has been added
Thanx

Hey booogy,
Fantastic add-on, I think you've created something that cannot be bettered.
The slipstreamer is a nice addition too, but with RyanVM's Integrator and nLite perhaps not quite as unique as your add-on.

Does your tool only work with English versions?

Hi Boooggy
I keep getting a Argument Error when trying to run the WMP 11 direct integration tool. The Argument Error says Font 'Verdana' does not support 'Regular'. Click 'OK' to view usage information.
What do you think the problem is?
Thanks,

Hi everyone,
Looking for some help here I am trying to use the Boooggy's WMP 11 slipstreamer with OEM PRO. Every time I do the slipstream I get this error when trying the install can't find file wmlaunch.exe What is this file and where would it be located? This is the order I am doing the slipstream in.
Clean Windows XP PRO OEM
Boooggy's WMP 11 Slipstream
RyanVm Integrator
Tried doing RMV first then the Slipstream and same error....
I have tried not using any other addons and I still get the same error if I don't use the WMP 11 Slipstream the install works fine? Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
Dean

Hey,
What updates do your WMP11 add-ons contain as standard? Specifically the tweaked add-on (what I use)?
I gather both KB929399 and KB928788 are not included and will need integrating on top of your WMP11 add-ons?

addons are not containing any hotfixes....yet.
i will update them when i will have some time.
so if u want also the updates for wmp11 u need to run wmp slipstreamer.

Windows Media Player 11
not sure about others but this version causes my creative zen m player from copying video & audio music files to it it fails to copy anything on my mp3 player with this version of the wmp program , the player with wmp11 fails to copy files with it on and even with using wmp10 drivers to load the drivers for zen m player , it can view it and remove files but not copy stuff to it, this is a very big bug that keeps me from using the newest player

Hello
Great work
But i have a problem.
I'm trying to integrate wmp11 (french) to XP Home SP2 (french) using your soft (v0.5 and v0.6, vanilla and tweaked ).
it seems to work flawlessly.
But...
the resulting txtsetup.inf is actually corrupted

...
0000041D = "Sudois"
00000405 = "Tchque"
00010405 = "Tchque - latin"
...
you can notice that "é", "è", "ç" are missing.
Of course, XP installation process breaks at the very beginning ("français" [keyboard layout] not found in .sif).
Is it a bug ?
Should it work with xp home sp2 french and with wmp 11 french ?
Thanks

Thanks for trying to solve my problem
I changed the following parameters

I then tried again and... Still unsucessful
But I noticed that
- before slipstreaming wmp11, txtsetup.sif is OEM (ms dos txt) coded
- after the process, txtsetup.sif is ANSI (windows txt) coded.
I don't really know if my problem is due to this fact but I know that I must choose the right format when I create my setup files (winnt.sif, runonceex command lines...). Otherwise "french" characters (é,è,à,ç,...) may not appear correctly !
