Hi Shark this is a great pack but do you have any advice as to how to change the install location. Have you tried this in the past or does it require a complete rewrite of the msi? I've been fiddling around with your msi in orca and temporarily removed the gear stuff so I don't have to keep restarting the comp on uninstalling and I've tried for a couple of hours changing all the install folder options under the directory row and custom action but I'm totally flabbergasted at this point as it continually installs to program files. I've been reading through a couple of other older threads but no go. I've got all my unattended winamp/MPC/quicktime/real/powerdvd7.2 stuff going to programfiles\multimedia but this msi stuff is a bit new to me.

TO ALL: I am currently using dialup internet access and downloading almost 50mb for iTunes (a program i dont even use) is out of the question. I will update this distribution a.s.a.p. If someone wants to make this happen quicker you can download the new installer, extract iTunes.msi from it, 7zip it and place it on rapidshare with a URL here and MAYBE i can download that and use it to provide the update.
@'Tasslehoff', sorry but I dont have any easy answers for you.
EDIT: BigRandalo has kindly provided the needed MSI on a resumable server. just wht i needed, thank you

sorry about that. The main repository now has proper links to the files.
I removed the URL's from your post so that casual MSFN browsers arent picking up the links.
I prefer to share my files with dedicated MSFN users

Thanx man.
Is it hard to make an installer in you own language, using your multilanguage version and your english version?
Have i then only delete the right files and registry rows with orca?

If this could be easily accomplished using orca I would have posted a tutorial explaining what needs to be done long ago as I have for Live Messenger. BUT, this isnt the case with iTunes. I used professional editting tools to create these installers. I will investigate the feasibility of using orca, but my initial thought is that this would be to difficult.

Since I only have dialup access, I'd appreciate if someone could download the latest iTunes (near 50MB) , extract the files from the installer, and make the iTunes.msi available for me to download so that I may update the distributed files.
Thanks.

Although I havent tested it with QTLite I assume it will work.
A better suggestion for a source of the Quicktime components is to use the
Vista Codec Package which is developed by me right here on MSFN (sticky at the top of this subforum) and extensively tested to function with all your video's. VCP is XP compatible also.

Thank you for your reply. I already use the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and I don't want or see the need to add another codec package. I'll give it a try with QTLite 1.1.1 and I'll let you know the outcome.

The distributed EXE accepts MSI switches. (most of my exe's accept MSI switches)
example:
iTunesEN7431.exe /qn
ooppss, just re-read your request,
silent uninstall... ummmm, I dunno at the moment.
I'm usually trying to figure out how to get things installed... silent uninstall isnt a much used feature.

@Shark007
First of all: thanks for your iTunes "lite" installer. I've been using it without problem for quite a while now.
I'm currently using your Vista Codec Package 4.5.1 with your last iTunes 7.4 installer, and things are OK. I've noticed that both the iTunes and VCP have new versions out, and I'm downloading them now. I've also noticed that you're removing the Quicktime components from VCP from 4.5.3...
My question is: Am I going to have to install your new QuickTime Lite for VCP in order to get your iTunes without Quicktime to work? i.e. VCP 4.5.3 + QTLite for VCP + iTunes 7.5 = everything working OK for XP?
Thanks in advance,
