Now that service pack 2 for Windows XP x64 edition is out (downloadable from above page officially), there's 2 questions:
1.   If someone knows it, please post the MD5 hash of XP64-SP2 & Svr2k3-SP2.
2.   Also, since i'll be using the "/integrate:" command, and there'll now be an extra SP2.CAB (addition to DRIVER.CAB), please post a batch file to merge the 2 cabs together, in the way that nLite does it. Or does nLite already do this reliably for x64?

Downloaded and installed over RC2 with no issues.

I'll have to look up some slipstreaming documentation when I get a chance.

i'm not 100% sure these are correct, they're just what i've got...extracted both with winrar, and it reported no errors, so i think all is well newwink.gif

prathapml I did merge the driver packs with nLite and it worked. And yes, x64 versions.

finally... now someone come out with a tcp patch.
TheTripleX
The only valid solution would be nLite.

i don't believe the lvllord patch ever did work on the x64 version of tcpip.sys...then again, i've never tried it, so i could be wrong blushing.gif

no its not. they completely rebuilt the tcpip.sys afaik. so nlite doesnt detect this and wont even let you set the hald open connections, its just grayed out.

and the lvllord patch does not work.

Just a note - I slipstreamed this into XP64 with nlite this morning. While the process went fine, the ISO does get rather large. With SP2, IE7, and the latest nVidia drivers, the image was JUST under 700MB, enough that I'm not sure it would even fit on a 700MB CD. Depending on how you plan to do this, you may need to burn it out to DVD. I may do another one and see if I can take anything out.

What I meant was that when nLite will be updated it will be the only solution. I know that currently there is no support for SP2.
ripken204
ok. but first it will be until someone finds out how to hack it. the it can be put in nlite.

does xp64 service pack 2 come with IE7 and WMP11?

No, it does not have these things.

Here's the "new" things: http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServe...3.mspx?mfr=true

Otherwise it's just fixes: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914962

Since this SP2 is primarily aimed at servers, WMP11 was probably not even considered and IE7.. meh, servers can live without that.

I made a slipstreamed disc with SP2 and IE7, along with the new US Daylight Savings times (which SP2 I don't think has). I wasn't able to get WMP11 to slipstream unfortunately. nLite gave me a screwy dialogue box when it tried. I also have no way to test my disc @.@
TheTripleX
Probably SP2 has the new daylight savings times. Check to see if the hotfix is included in SP2.
RyanVM
It isn't included.

DST changes are not included in x64 SP2 - you'll still need to install 931836 or install the reg changes in 914387 and run the script listed there as well. Also, sysprep'ing a machine with the hotfix can fail as well, so if you plan on building an image and sysprep'ing it, the reg changes and script are much safer.

Woah, I never knew that KB article existed. Nice having everything in one concise spot like that smile.gif. BTW, my plan is to make the changes directly to HIVESFT.inf so the settings are there from the start.
