I'm trying to create a multiboot dvd with magic iso with windows xp pro corp, windows 2000, win98se and windows millenium.
win98 and millenium works perfectly, but xp and 2000, no probleme for booting from cdrom, choose the partition, format and copy somes files, but during the installation he ask me : insert cd windows xp pro sp2 .....

The Setupldr.bin and txtsetup.sif are modified but it' doesn't work..... can you help me, i don't find any answer to my question...

Thanks a lot

Sorry for my english, i'm french ;-)

Check flag files cdrom_* and WIN51*. Use e.g. WIN51IP.SP2 for SP2.

Flag files has to be twice at DVD:

thank for response.
i have controlled and readed the guide, but i not understand much..

i have done this:
1) copied all i386 dir of XPPRO SP3 and subdir in c:\WXPP
2) i have extracted Boot image with ISOMAGIC
3) i have edited setup setupldr.bin and change all 4 i386 in WXPP
4) i have edited txtsetup.sif and substitute \i386 in \WXPP in x86 session
5) i have edited boot image and change i386 in WXPP
6) i make ISO with WXPP dir, boot image modified, and in root files WIN51*. and WIN51IP.SP1,SP2,SP3

now all function OK, but at first reboot ask me SP3 CD and in path giveme D:\i386.
if i try to make CD SP2, ask me for SP2 CD. same problem.

n.b. - my CD Letter is R:

can you help me for find was wrong

@marco70

Read flyakite's again. Follow this guide.
But replace SP1 by SP3.
marco70
thank a lot for answer,
but i not found solution for my problem....

all is ok, but at restart (after boot and copyinf file), now Windows search file in D:\I386 instead \WXPP

what is wrong??

i modified setupldr.bin and txtsetup.sif
what must modify for do search folder \WXPP

i think that must modify in txtsetup.sif line where is sourcepath, but if i modify installation block at init.

thank

p.s. - i've already read all guides mentioned, but i not see whitch i wrong
marco70
i have read the guide of http://flyakite.msfn.org/xpprosp1.htm

but in this guide there are 2 directory for os.
i want only a dir and name it how i want

i386 to WXPP for XP Pro
i386 to W2KP for 2000 pro
...
...

now through the guides that i found in this and other forum i can make boot correctly...
but the problem is when reboot...

the cd boot correctly
the copy of file is correct
but now in restart, popup request for cd in d:\i386...
if i search manually for file to d:\wxpp is ok.

now the question is: how make for search for default in d:\WXPP ??

n.b.
txtsetup.sif and setupldr.bin are been edited

i thing that problem is line sourcepath in txtsetup.sif. (but if modify, setup not function)
i searched in all file in c for find other i386 occurrence, but nothing

help me please

thank

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. did you ever find a solution?
spike4real
Ah ha! I've solved the mystery!

If you read the guide to EasyBoot it says...

1) Make a folder named 'xpen' under 'c:\easyboot\disk1'
2) Copy 'win51' and 'win51p' (from root directory of original CD) to 'c:\easyboot\disk1'
3) Copy I386 folder to 'c:\easyboot\disk1\xpen'

Where really it should say copy win51, win51p etc into both disk1 and xpen smile.gif

Yeah, it's just a strange problem. I guess there'll have to be more editing, including throwing things into different folders.
