Hi guys I am sorry for bad english ok how you can make the babylon dictionary silent install?? tha answer 1- first install the babylon on your computer 2- install the other languag dictionay (.bgl files) then go to the babylon dirctory in Program Files folder 3-copy your other babylon dictionarys or .bgl files in the folder C:\Program files\Babylon\Data\BGLs 4- make SFX file in WinRAR for babylon folder  5- go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ you will see folder the folder name is babylon 6 - make SFX file in winrar for this folder  7-download the Microsoft Text To Speech Engine files msttss22L.exe SPCHAPI.EXE you will have this files  8- use the RUNONCEEX.CMC to install the babylon CODE REG ADD %KEY%\005 /VE /D "Dictionary And Babylon Dictionary" /f REG ADD Well, I gave a try to this method (who knows?) and guess what? It failed on MY computers. So, well, I made an AutoIt script to Install version 5.0. There it is, in the AutoIT Script Collection. Hi Djé and everyone else, I've been trying to use Djé's perfect Babylon 5 script as a basis for Babylon 6, but it didn't work, just as I expected... I know nothing of scripting so all I did was a little exercise in copy/paste, as well as minor changes where I thought they were applicable, but they were obviously wrong. I only got as far as page 1, and after that the dialogue boxes wouldn't move unless I clicked them. Unfortunately it's just too complex for me... So now I was wondering if Djé or anyone else feels that they might be willing to help me out. PLEASE!! Well here's what I did  :1. I installed Babylon 6 and took note of the pages' headings, first line and choices, and this is what I came up with (NB. Where there is a bracket with (default) it means that these are the choices that will be made if I just click next at the bottom of the page, and where you read [-> No] it means that I wanted to change the default settings. 2. May I ask why you would need/want to avoid an AutoIt script? Edit: this is in no way an inquisitorial question. It's just out of curiosity and to see if I can help in any way. So don't feel any obligation to answer it. The *way* in the first post may have only worked for its author (see all those useless reg keys, see the big binary ones...). @The Black Cloud First I apologize if I have offended you. I must admit my words may have seemed a bit hard. Then I have to agree with you. What was common practice at that time may no more be good practice now. As you suggest, things have evolved. AutoIt is now well spread and babylon uses different ways. Anyway, I take the opportunity to thank you for your original idea, and also for the specific part of the Speech engine, which I would never have though off without you. It remains unchanged in the following versions! |
