ok, a choice i made to add option to rename & delete recycle bin keeps biting me in the rear from g/f & her kid routinely accidently deleting recycle bin.
what solution or regedit can i do to UNDO this greivious attrocity? HA! (well, only the jokes on me, ugh) all my searches keep referring to this being an issue with Vista, & a fixable one at that, but I did this in XP-pro!
thanks in advance,
calam

Okay thanks but after much googling i found it, just reset the key to rename/delete recycle bin back to default value :

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder

Value Name: Attributes
Data Type: REG_BINARY (Binary Value)
Value Data: (70 01 00 20=enable, 40 01 00 20=default)

& I can rename from registry if I desire, that key is easy enough to find.

now if i could only figure out how to close this post since it is now irrelevant untill someone else needs the data...

thanks anyhow
