  1. nvm I fixed it - I broke the rar file to smaller files. I guess cdfs has problems with files over 2gb
  2. I've made a windows boot dvd and in $OEM\$1\install\applications I have a apps.rar file (there are also other files in $OEM$\$1. I've noticed though that during the installation of windows apps.rar file is NOT copied to the hard drive (while the other files are). The rar file is 2.13gb What can I do to make it work right?
  3. you need to create a batch file somewhere in the disc, like \$OEM$\$1\install for example (whatever file name you want.cmd) and then http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/45/ <let's say we name the file "batch.cmd"> You also need to include a couple of lines in winnt.sif (/I386): [Guirunonce] %systemdrive%\install\batch.cmd
  4. I have made a boot dvd with windows 2003 r2, office 2003 + 2007, symantec antivirus & acrobat reader 7 (with nlite) I'm running windows 2003 r2 on vmware (memory available to vmware: 272mb, system memory 512mb. vmware hard disk 9gb) I have made the mst, msp files as written on the msfn tutorials the batch file is: ECHO. ECHO Installing Office 2003 Professional ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2003\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- ECHO. ECHO Installing Office 2003 Professional Proofing tools ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2003PT\ptksetup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- ECHO. ECHO Installing Office 2007 Enterprise ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2007\setup.exe /adminfile Unattended.MSP ECHO ECHO Installing Acrobat Reader 7 ECHO Please wait.... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\acrobat7\Acr7.msi TRANSFORMS=acr7.MST /qb- ECHO ECHO Installing Symantec Antivirus 10 ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\sav10\SAV\sav.msi /passive RUNLIVEUPDATE=0 REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS exit In Installshield tuner 7 I don't know how to set the "path to install" without writing the partition/disk letter for acrobat (I can't write <Program Files>\Acrobat or something like this) Can anyone help me (the program won't be installed on C: and I want it to be installed to the "systemdrive" but dunno how to set it) -also in office 2007 Enterprise (final version, not beta) unattended, after the install it reboots. Is there a "REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS" or something like that? Thanks in advance!
  5. I integrated drivers: -93.71 forceware (nvidia) (pnp) -printer driver (pnp) -scanner driver (pnp) -promise ata driver (text mode) -microsoft keyboard driver (pnp) I selected "multiple driver folder" - I guess it's ok ---------------------- Applications: I installed: office 2003 pro, office 2003 proofing tools, office 2007 enterprise, acrobat reader 7, symantec antivirus For the first two I used the office resource kit (custom installation wizard, and selected mostly the defaults)> mst file For office 2007 I ran "setup /admin" > msp file For acrobat I used the Installshield tuner but I had an problem with that: in the path to install I couldn't write "%systemdrive%" or <ProgramFiles> or something like that and I wrote "Program Files\acrobat7" (maybe I should write "\Program Files\acrobat 7"? Finally I made the batch.cmd: ECHO. ECHO Installing Office 2003 Professional ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2003\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- ECHO. ECHO Installing Office 2003 Professional Proofing tools ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2003PT\ptksetup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- ECHO. ECHO Installing Office 2007 Enterprise ECHO Please wait... ECHO start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2007\setup.exe /adminfile Unattended.MSP ECHO ECHO Installing Acrobat Reader 7 ECHO Please wait.... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\acrobat7\Acr7.msi TRANSFORMS=acr7.MST /qb- ECHO ECHO Installing Symantec Antivirus 10 ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\sav10\SAV\sav.msi /passive RUNLIVEUPDATE=0 REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS exit Then I wrote the batch.cmd and I wrote a line to run batch.cmd in winnt.sif (Guirunonce) The batch runs, the programs install (the files on \Program Files\Office etc... are present) but there aren't be any start menu shortcuts
  6. I have created a win2003 r2 boot dvd "slipstreamed" with applications & drivers with the use of nlite 1.2.1. I installed windows in vmware enviroment. Windows seem to install correctly (as r2 - that means I edited correctly the winnt.sif). I have a few problems though: I don't see shortcuts for drivers or anything related to the drivers that where supposed to be installed. Does driver integration with nlite work? Maybe it has to do that these pieces of hardware aren't present in vwware? Another problem (not to do with nlite) is that there aren't any shortcuts on the start menu for the programs I installed. Could anyone help please?
  7. I've created the iso and edited the winnt.sif file to look like this: ; Generated by nLite 1.2.1 [Data] AutomaticUpdates="Yes" Autopartition=0 MsDosInitiated=0 UnattendedInstall="Yes" [Unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended UnattendSwitch="Yes" OemPreinstall="Yes" OemSkipEula="Yes" FileSystem=* WaitForReboot="No" NoWaitAfterTextMode=1 NoWaitAfterGUIMode=1 DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore NonDriverSigningPolicy=Ignore [Display] Xresolution=1024 Yresolution=768 BitsPerPel=32 Vrefresh=60 [GuiUnattended] EncryptedAdminPassword="No" AutoLogon="Yes" AdminPassword=* TimeZone=130 OEMSkipRegional=1 OemSkipWelcome=1 [Shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\Luna.theme" [LicenseFilePrintData] AutoMode=PerSeat [Components] [GuiRunOnce] Command0="%systemdrive%\Cmpnents\R2\setup2.exe /q /cs /a" Command1="%windir%\system32\sysocmgr.exe /i:sysoc.inf /u:%systemdrive%\R2\r2comp.inf" %systemdrive%\install\batch.cmd [UserData] ProductKey="xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx" ComputerName=XP_2003R2 FullName="Admin" [RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=2,4,1 SystemLocale="0409" UserLocale="0409" UserLocale_DefaultUser="0409" InputLocale="0409:00050408" InputLocale_DefaultUser="0409:00050408" [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents="Yes" [Identification] JoinWorkgroup="workgroup" does it seem ok? (especially the "Guirunonce" lines Thanks in advance
  8. How can I create unattended setup of Office 2007 as an ugrade of office 2003? (and slipstreaming it in a windows 2003 r2 dvd) Thanks in advance
  9. bump So it's more like slipstreaming r2 into 2003 sp1 disc and running it as unattended. From what i've read, it is possible, but I don't know how
  10. Quite a bit.... A couple of questions I don't understand: my current boot.ini is: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003, Enterprise" /fastdetect multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn in what *inf/sif file in windows cd do I need to enter the information so that windows 2003 installs in the same partition it is now? I know that the option for Autopartition(=0 or 1) is in winnt.sif but how do I set the partition from there.... 2nd question: I understood I need to copy the r2comp.inf & r2 cd in \$OEM$\$1\r2 and r2 cmpnentsin \cmpnents I don't know though where in what file to add the [Unattended] OemPreinstall = yes & [GuiRunonce] Command0="cmd /c \\RISServer\reminst\setup\Language\ImageName\Cmpnents\R2\setup2.exe /q /cs /a” Command1="%windir%\system32\sysocmgr.exe /i:sysoc.inf /u:C:\R2\r2comp.inf" [UserData] ProductID = "XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX" lines Although, I guess that in "Command0" it will need to be different (but I don't know what it will need to be) From the deploy.chm file in windows 2003 r2 cd: Forgive me if I'm stupid, but I still can't understand how to make a dvd with r2 integrated
  11. I can't understand these commands: [GuiRunonce] Command0="cmd /c \\RISServer\reminst\setup\Language\ImageName\Cmpnents\R2\setup2.exe /q /cs /a” Command1="%windir%\system32\sysocmgr.exe /i:sysoc.inf /u:C:\R2\r2comp.inf" [userData] ProductID = "XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX" I want to install windows to the partition E: and have r2files in partition E also what does "risserver" do over there? what do I set as "Language, image name"?
  12. I want to create a windows 2003 R2 unattended installation dvd and need to install windows to the "E:" partition (the D: has windows xp and in the C: is the bootloader). Can anyone help me how to do this with nlite?
  13. could you please explain more? I saw in microsoft (http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/Library/0c7a22fc-317a-43fb-9b85-18acfd65f2831033.mspx) a way to integrate r2 but I didn't understand it (how am I going to do it with nlite)
  14. How can I integrate the 2nd cd of windows 2003 r2 to the image with nlite? Thanks in advance!
