  1. I've the same problem of ZeTaBYTeS, hope that an update of Quick Time Alternative will come out soon.
  2. Ehm, my poor english didn't allow me to understand if I can't add thing to a nlited Windows CD or a nlited Windows installation on the hard disk... Thank you and sorry for my stupidity
  3. You are right! The safe preset of nlite remove it... Is there a way to install it in windows without formatting and reinstalling XP? (I've read the nlite faq, especially "Can i add things back once they have been removed?", but i have always a last hope...)
  4. Hi, thanks for your suggestion, I've tried it and once a time in several attempts the modem emits the classic noise but it stops after a few seconds (but at least it's an improvement!) BTW I've previously disable various windows services (following the BlackViper safe preset + little personal enhancements), someone knows which are the essential services required to dial-up (or the winXP components not to remove?) Thanks
  5. Hi, after a nlited Windows XP setup made with nlite 1.3 I've noticed that my 56k modem no longer works. ( I know, it's 2007 and someone is still using dialup connection... what a shame ) I've copied the old telephone number of my ISP and create a new connection using that number; when i tried to connect a window appears saying that there is no signal, but the same modem used with another pc (without any "nlitement") on the same telephone line works and connects... So I've tried another modem: this time the window "Connecting to ######" appears, but the modem emits no sign of life and that window remains there. The modem were of course connected to the telephone line (I'm not so stupid ) and the XP drivers were successfully installed, any advice? This is my nlite configuration: Thanks (and sorry for grammatical mistakes, I'm form Italy, correct me so I learn more correct English!)
  6. Ok, thanks, one last component: help and support (23MB), never used before but nLite says that is necessary for the installation of Multilingual Language Pack (MUI), never heard about it, what do you think?
  7. Hi, I've load the safe preset in the components tab of nLite and I would like to remove also: drwatson (i've read it's useless for the user), windows security center (i've already got my internet suite) brother device (modem mfc brother, usb device brother... never heard of them) old graphic card drivers (i''m using use geforce 8800 gts) What will happen if I remove these elements which aren't removed in the safe preset? It's still safe to remove them or they are essential for some common application? (i'm a "standard" user) Thanks!
