  1. I hate to say this, but since this has not been "officially" released by MicroSoft I'd wait until SP3 is officially released and try again. They may fix this issue for you.
  2. Well, with all the testing I'm doing it makes it a pain to have to wait for SP2 and RyanVM's Patch Pack everytime
  3. Excellent Question. Hope someone knows the answer, I've add this issue too. If I just remove the drivers from the list is that suffecient?
  4. Hi All, I'm so very close to making my unattended installation with all hotfixes, IE7, and WMP11 working perfectly, the only issue I have now is that at the 29 minute mark of the install I get a prompt to insert my SP2 disk. All I have to do is pop the CD out and put it back in and then install completes. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks Ethan
  5. danker, I don't really understand your argument. If I have a full CD with patches, etc that works great, why can't I use that as my standard disk and add hotfixes as their released etc? I don't see a difference between installing all fixes via nLite, having it work perfectly, then adding on one more hotfix to that install...this would still be the exact same order as if you redo ALL hotfixes via nLite and add the one to the end...
  6. So should I just forget about Integrating IE7 then? Is there a way to do it so it works. I've tried all sorts of things (just integrating the install, using the Addon package, etc) and none work.
  7. I had this happen to me last night with an SP2 install. Make sure you enter data in the "Full Name" area of "Owner and Network ID" tab in Options. I hadn't and it needed it that's why it stopped.
  8. I'm getting there...slowly. I was able to get the following done and had a successful install. 1. Integrate SP2 (I did this to my source before using nLite, saves time). 2. Integrate RyanVM's Patch Pack v 2.2.2. 3. Numerous Unattended and Options selected. With the items above I was OK. I then tried adding IE7 and a few other programs and I got fubarred again. I'll continue attempting this. Thanks, Ethan
  9. OK, that's what I figured. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Thanks
  10. This has nothing to do with my other thread, just a general question. I've noticed that if I try to edit a previously built nlite install it will re-install patches, put drives in again, etc. Everytime I use nLite to I have to start from a new clean install?
  11. I've done this. I'm slowly narrowing down the issue. I just took my clean source, integrated SP2 and RyanVM's 2.2.2 Patch Pack and everything went perfectly. I feel this issue has something to do when I setup the Unattended install. I'm working to verify that now.
  12. Yes, I realize SFC has nothing to do with disk format, but I just wanted to show that even with SFC disabled I had another issue. My source is fine as it worked once without issue. I used RyanVM on the exact same source (making a copy of it of course) and was able to Integrate SP2 and all hotfixes without any issues perfectly the first try. I'd like to use nLite instead since it allows much more configuration options during the Unattended and Options sections, but just can't get nLite to work. Thanks, Ethan
  13. I disabled SFC but I just get an error "Cannot format disk" during the install. I don't get it
  14. Thanks for the reply nuhi. I'm using the FINAL 1.4.1 version right now. I was using 1.4.5 beta 2 but thought that may of been the issue so tested with 1.4.1. My installation file is fresh each time. Attached is one of my presets that's failing. nLite_XP_SP2_Drivers_Integrated.ini
  15. I just found nLite 2 days ago and thought, "this is awesome, can't wait to use it". Well, since this time I've just been pulling my hair out. I've probably made 15 coasters and only 1 CD that actually worked the way it should. The issue I seem to run into all the time is that when I get to 9 Minutes remaining on the "Finalizing Installation" it freezes. I can fix this by popping the CD out of the drive and the installation will complete. However, when the OS boots the first time the desktop is blue (not standard Windows XP desktop) and when I click on the IE link a box pops up asking me what program I want to use to open IE. So IE is broken. I was able to get 1 CD working by ONLY integrating SP2 and nothing else. However, anytime I try to do anything else (unattended install, drivers, etc) I get the error explained above. Can someone help me? Thanks, Ethan
