... why does the iso size GROW although i removed the biggest components (games, media components, drivers, languages, natural language, tablet pc components)?? edit: choosing "build current image only" results in a 2.3gb image... something must still be wrong additionally, when opening a extract-folder a second time, rt7lite does not know which version (basic, premium...) i chose the first time

are you sure you didnt remove hardware support for lan devices and removed only lan drivers?

you can install internet explorer 7 and windows media player. both you should find with google, searching for the name and download. you cant "restore" other components.

i think you cant integrate apllications with vlite yet. there are other iso builders which can, they should be working even with the vlited iso. you can extract the cab/msu files from the exe with i.e. winrar or 7zip. or you search for an update-pack for vlite.

firmware issue^^ try resetting the bios (remove the battery)

no^^ the installed (vlite-)vista dont care about new vlite-versions.... if you are worried about vlite-caused problems, just use a final version (1.2final), in those versions shouldnt be any bugs.
