Hi all, I was trying to boot my asus eee pc 701 4gb ssd notebook via thumb drive to complete the XP installation. I have reached the stage where I could choose GUI or TXT mode of setup. when i selected the 2nd option (ie. txt mode set up windows xp, never unplug usb until after log on), it is able to load some of the files and drivers and just after it says setup is starting windows, I get a message saying: -------------------------------------------------------- A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
