  1. Some of the ones I use include Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Norton MAY have one but I'm not sure
  2. It would help if you provide a link to the affecting websites
  3. maybe install the chip-set drivers for your motherboard?
  4. I use paragon drive backup pro, and that comes with a winpe cd as well. I really don't like boot cd that boot into linux, mainly driver issue for SATA/RAID controlers
  5. Something else, you sure it a CD? Because as far as I know, it only on DVD.
  6. Go to HP's website, go to the downloads area, search for your computer, get the SATA/RAID drivers, save it to a flash drive, extract the files. Then go and install win 7, then at some point, you will be given the option of installing drivers. If you don't understand, just say so, and I will try my best to give you detailed instructions .
  7. Maybe it need a driver to see the hard drive? I wouldn't think that you need a driver for the DVD drive.
  8. I use Kaspersky antivirus 2010, and it great. Yeah I used AVG before, I feel that it slows my computer down. I used norton antivirus 2009 when I was using vista, and I was happy with it, but I couldn't find a 90 day trial for 2010 yet, so I went and got Kaspersky. (yes there is a 30 day trial, but I don't want to give out my credit card!)
  9. may be off topic, does that include using software VM ware to run more than one os at a time?
  10. From my understanding, it is not possable to inforce any security on FAT formatted drive. Yes there may be programs that will do it, however, they may not be well supported, and the main issue comes down to data recovery. Having said that, NTFS support folder/file security out of the box. and if you need to do data recovery, you should be fine since your not locked into using 3rd party software that may not work outside windows.
  11. Hello everyone, It is my pleasure to be part of this forum, to share my knowledge and learn from others. My name is Daniel and I'm a student studying IT at school. During my spare time I enjoy listening to music and helping other people with their computer issues. I hope that I will learn something from me, and I hope that I learn something from you. Daniel
