  1. Didn't have any RW's, and they were relatively cheap cd-r's so that ain't the biggest problem. It's just irritating that I can't get it to work :|
  2. I made a clean installation cd, nothing added, nothing removed, just the VIA SATA driver according exactly to the txtsetup.inf. No luck. I made 25 coasters already, and I don't know where to go now. Is it at all possible to integrate VIA SATA drivers with a Windows x64 installation???
  3. First of all thank you for replying. I followed the guide on Green Machine (same as the Official guide from MSFN, I think?). I made sure things looked exactly the same as what's on those pages.....but it fails :'( I still get the #18 error (unexpected error on line 1896 etc.). I've been searching the forums all day so far but I couldn't find the answer (or I overlooked :/) I've integrated the VIA Sata drivers(Asus A8V Deluxe mobo with VIA VT8237 controller) with nLite into a Windows Xp x64 installation. That didn't work. Setup couldn't find my SATA disk. So I searched and found another method (by trainee I believe). Setup finds the driver but then halts the copy, giving me an error #18, at line 1896 in file d:\srvrtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c. Been at it for about 3-4 hours now, so I decided to ask you guys. On the install I made a folder called $OEM$\TXTMODE, I put the driver files in there, uncompressed. I could quote the txtsetup and winnt files but since they're quite large I put them in a zip file along with the txtsetup.oem file. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could download it and correct it where necessary. Thank you in advance. TheimonsSATAProbs.zip
  5. It's very probable that the .exe file has some fingerprints the virus also has, making Kaspersky alert the user that it has found something although the file is absolutely harmless. I just thought I let you know. Safety first!
  6. I thought I'd let you know: I downloaded the NCAB.rar from Rapidshare. When I Extracted it, my Antivirus (Kaspersky) alerted me with the following message: D:\My Downloads\Nero\NCAB.exe Infected Constructor.Win32.Delf.g Maybe you can take a look at this.
  7. Whenever I need some piece of software or music, I tend to search different sites. These include e.g. ircspy.com, torrentspy.com, binsearch.info etc. Problem with this is that I have to fill in my query at every site. What I would like to see is that I'd have 1 interface like a HTML page or whatever that functions as some sort of searchengine. So I don't have to type it 8 times in a row on every site but just once, and that results for my query are returned in that same page. Is this possible? I've been looking for a while now, but I just can't find it. Can I build some sort of script for this? Hope anyone can help.

  9. So I finally got my Unattended Install going (I think), I bump into this minor but necessary little thing. When the runonceex.cmd is done installing all wanted programs, I want it to restart the computer. Otherwise some programs won't function (properly or at all). I've been searching the forum but I can't find an answer. What's the entry in runonceex to get it to reboot? TIA.

  11. I followed the instructions mentioned above, but I stumble upon the following problem. From my Runonceex REG ADD %KEY%\020 /VE /D "Diskeeper Professional 9" /f REG ADD %KEY%\020 /V 1 /D %CDROM%\Extra\Diskeeper\Diskeeper.msi /QB" /f This doesn't seem to work when you install your apps from cd Cuz when my unattended install finishes and I go round checking in VMware what did pull off and what not, Diskeeper isn't installed at all. Is this a known issue? Is installation only possible after you first copy the msi and then install from your HDD?
  12. I don't know actually I'm just playing around with this unattended installation, and I was going through my currently installed apps list. That's why I was wondering what switch it could be. But I don't think it's gonna work so I'll just skip this one.
  13. I tried it but I can't copy ALL files cause then you get a read error on the iconconfig.xml file. Even when you stop the StyleXP-service. I went through the install logs again but I just can't find what file I have to "work on". Aaaargh.....it's starting to get to me
  14. 1st. I've done this using Installrite 2.5. I reviewed what files where changed or added, but it seemed only to be settings and integration files. No file seems to be the registerfile. I built an install kit as well, but that didn't work ok. It installed StyleXp or not at all so that's not an option 2nd. I haven't tried this yet. Maybe this will give an answer. 3rd. I've tried this. As well for the hardware ID the program generates as well as the serial it determines for the program. Both couldn't be found, so either it's not in the registry or it is but in encrypted. I will try the second option. Who knows... Thanks for your suggestions so far.
  15. I'm trying to do add StyleXP to my Unattended Windows XP. I found the switch (which is /S) but after the install it still asks to apply a theme. (To check whether the install went well or not) This is not automated. After that question it will show the Stylexp mainscreen. Can I get rid of this by using the "taskkill" command? And question number 2. To register Stylexp, you have to open the program and go to the registration field etc. I haven't found a reg key or file that contains my register information. That would be easy, then I could export or copy it from there. Does anyone know where the reg. info is put? TIA

  17. This I didn't know (and didn't find anywhere). So if I place them elsewhere (like in Extra or something) then they won't be copied. Won't that affect the installation in any way? What IS necessary to put in the $OEM$ folder? Can I place all programs in Extra or are some programs essential in the $OEM$ folder? Thanks for your fast reply by the way

But I just want it to copy the necessary Windows-setup files. Not all the programs. I want the bigger part to install from DVD. How will I get this working? PS: I used the search in all kinds of ways but didn't come up with a satisfying answer :|
  19. I'm using start.cmd instead of runonceex. Is it possible to use this command in some way in the start.cmd file? 'Cause, when testing in VMware, he started copying all the files first, instead of installing from DVD.
