  1. Says "provides 3-user free version of proxy server software" but it's mainly a commercial program. Be careful before being banned as spamming new member. OK, I will be careful, thanks. But for me - home user, 3 user free version is enough. BTW, may I need to remove this topic?
  2. Free proxy server software - CCProxy : http://www.youngzsoft.net/ccproxy/ Easy to use and powerful, Internet connection sharing, bandwidth limit, web filter, time schedule etc. For XP, Win7, Vista, 2003, 2008, both 32 and 64 bit. Free Word to PDF software - TinyPDF: http://www.tinypdf.com/ Less than 600K, very smart. For XP, Win7 (as of now only 32 bit), Vista, 2003 and 2008. FREE for personal and commercial use!
  3. Hi everyone, I have tried IE6, IE8, Firefox 6, Chrome 4 and found that all of them can not support Socks5 proxy with user/password authentication. After my test, I get some points as bellow: 1. As a default setting, IE uses Socks4 which can not support user/password authentication. 2. Chrome uses IE's proxy settings. 3. Firefox can support both Socks4 and Socks5 but if Socks5, it still can not support user/password authentication. I know with some proxy tools like proxifier, freecap, I can make it but what if without such proxy tools? Anyone can help? BTW, I used CCProxy to build my proxy server on a WinXP Pro SP3, and the client OS is also WinXP Pro SP3. Thanks.
