Hi, am I getting it right, that it is still not possible to remove some parts of win7 (like nlite or vlite) ? Thanks for any tips (I have not been active here for a while, but now I switched to win7...so will be here more often

Actually shell32 doesnt get patched! Thats the problem. I see old icons, old dialogs (like the logoff screen, deleting from the recycle bin...) I never had this problem, just with SP3. Im willing to send the shell file to anybody, and you can try to patch it...xpize just writes patching shell32, but actually skips the file...

Hi, I just updated my Win XP install with SP3 (slipstreamed) and Xpize updates all files, except shell32.dll, which is one of the most important. I tried both methods - change the install source, and installing Xpize in a running SP3. It doesnt change it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

So basically take a screenshot of how you would like it to look...then cut the exact shape of the bitmap. So basically it will still be there, youre just fooling your eyes... if you need more clues let me know

Hi! I have Rightmark CPU Clock under my startup objects in Vista final 6600 release, but it blocks it everytime I reboot. I have to rightclick the defender icon, and allow it to run. How can I add this to Defender allowed items, or is there another way? Thanks

Hi, I have a Wireless N router, have all my PCs connected, but the only one problem is, that I cant find an appropriate adapter for my notebook!! It runs on wireless g standard, but I totally can feel the speed difference, when transferring files. So I was looking for an adapter, that would fit my Express card slot. I didnt find any. Hi, there is no option for adding this later... so basically what U need to do is using nlite, and stripping it down for yourself. U need a untouched winxp cd first. Then U can use the Last session.inf, that is on the stripped cd for basic settings in nlite. U can then just uncheck swedisch or whatever U like, and ure done.

Hi, Ive got a notebook, which came originally with WIN XP Pro, but there was no installation CD included. Just a repair disk. I want to do a clean reinstall, not only "repair". I dont want to just download an illegal copy, which is so easy , so I wonder, if anybody here has a solution. The product key sticker is on the lower side of the notebook. So I thought about using a illegal copy with that product key...would it work? Im desperate -microsoft makes it so hard for people who own legally their software, that its easier with illegal!
