  1. Hi Andre, Once more I have problems with my boot process. And once more I dont know the reasons. Its probably at the end of the boot process, when the computer tries to connect to my router? I have uploaded the zipped etl-file to google drive. Perhaps you can help me to find the error? Many thanks in advance,
  2. Thankyou Andre, I stopped 3 services of Acronis and hope the problem is solved.
  3. Hi MagicAndrew, After I have installed a new disk I had a perfect boot performance. But since some time I have a new unknown problem with boot time delay. Shortly before the laptop connects to WLAN the bootprocess is obviously interrupted. Perhaps you have tip to solve the problem. The link to the zipped etl-file is attached. Manny thanks in advance Albert
  4. Hi Andrew, Removing Acronis tools actually solved my shutdown problem. Thank you. Perhaps I may ask you once more to shorten my laptop´s boottime. I couln´t yet identify the culprit who is responsible for a long, long boottime. So I made the corresponding etl file and uploaded to the Internet. I would appreciate your help in analyzing the boot trace log. The link I have sent to your personal email address. MfG Albert
  5. Hi Andrew, while having problems with shutting down my computer I have sent you a personal message and uploaded the the zipped etl-file, hoping that you can give me advice. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Albert
  6. While I tried to establish a link of a program(name is hotkey) on the desktop of my laptop the program icon did not show up on desktop but was exchanged by a void icon which normaly indicates that the link is invalid. How can I fix it?
  7. This morning I checked the PerformanceDiagnostics and got the following message: BootStartTime 2013-04-20T08:54:44.687200300Z BootEndTime 2013-04-20T08:57:45.898317400Z BootTime 89178 I thougt BootEndTime - BootStarttime=BootTime???
  8. Boot-time before : 222s Boot-time after: 198s Disabling bitlocker is not an option for me, because for whatever reason truecript does not work on my computer.
  9. I don´t use an ads filter and have java-script enabled. So as a last try I made a total reset of my IE 10.0.9200.16540 ........without a result! Now I found a direct link for the patch. http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/software/updt/2013/03/windows6.1-kb2775511-v2-x64_ec18cc10e27faf443c17e7a8073c9eba773eb13e.msu But something was strange. When I opened my list of windows security updates I found beside my new package (KB 2775511) all the other single updates whereas I expected them being replaced?
  10. It´s a mess. The devil lies in the details. I don´t succeed in downloading the Enterprise Hotfix Rollup. I found the hotfix package in the Microsoft Download Catalog and added it to the shopping basket. But when I opened it was always empty: [javascript: void(0)] Sorry for annoying you with my beginner´s problems. Once more thank you for your help. I appreciated it very much.
  11. Thank you so far for your excellent help. Perhaps three additional questions just for info: 1) How did you identify the exact name of my HDD? 2) Does it make sense to install the Enterprise Hotfix Rollup if I applied all hotfixes as part of my regular maintenance routine in the past? 3) My HDD is totally encrypted with bitlocker. Could this be the reason for the heavy activities during boot?
  12. Excuse me. It was my fault. I use two HDD´s. Meanwhile I succeeded to produce the etl-file after I had enlarged the buffer. I have uploaded it here: http://sdrv.ms/110yWzF Can you now identify the culprit?
  13. I captured the boottrace. By starting the performance analyzer I got the message http://imageshack.us...otanalysis.jpg/ I don't know how to get more "bandwidth for ETW-Logging"?
  14. I use Avast! Antivirus. I have reduced the amount of tools at startup to a minimum. Two SSD´s on board.
  15. I am no expert. So I wonder why my laptop´s boot time increased to 250 s. With windows own tool I produced a log-file to find the error. Now I´ve got the following result: Perhaps somebody can help me where the culprit presumably is hidden? - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Diagnostics-Performance" Guid="{CFC18EC0-96B1-4EBA-961B-622CAEE05B0A}" /> <EventID>100</EventID> <Version>2</Version> <Level>1</Level> <Task>4002</Task> <Opcode>34</Opcode> <Keywords>0x8000000000010000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2013-04-10T08:15:33.846464200Z" /> <EventRecordID>3671</EventRecordID> <Correlation ActivityID="{03B03A50-F800-0002-455C-23FAC235CE01}" /> <Execution ProcessID="1832" ThreadID="3884" /> <Channel>Microsoft-Windows-Diagnostics-Performance/Operational</Channel> <Computer>WernerFoerster</Computer> <Security UserID="S-1-5-19" /> </System> - <EventData> <Data Name="BootTsVersion">2</Data> <Data Name="BootStartTime">2013-04-10T08:11:17.687200300Z</Data> <Data Name="BootEndTime">2013-04-10T08:11:17.687200300Z</Data> <Data Name="SystemBootInstance">1277</Data> <Data Name="UserBootInstance">1182</Data> <Data Name="BootTime">248950</Data> <Data Name="MainPathBootTime">151763</Data> <Data Name="BootKernelInitTime">17</Data> <Data Name="BootDriverInitTime">3833</Data> <Data Name="BootDevicesInitTime">5728</Data> <Data Name="BootPrefetchInitTime">0</Data> <Data Name="BootPrefetchBytes">0</Data> <Data Name="BootAutoChkTime">0</Data> <Data Name="BootSmssInitTime">23004</Data> <Data Name="BootCriticalServicesInitTime">1715</Data> <Data Name="BootUserProfileProcessingTime">1488</Data> <Data Name="BootMachineProfileProcessingTime">64</Data> <Data Name="BootExplorerInitTime">101594</Data> <Data Name="BootNumStartupApps">14</Data> <Data Name="BootPostBootTime">97187</Data> <Data Name="BootIsRebootAfterInstall">false</Data> <Data Name="BootRootCauseStepImprovementBits">1048576</Data> <Data Name="BootRootCauseGradualImprovementBits">0</Data> <Data Name="BootRootCauseStepDegradationBits">0</Data> <Data Name="BootRootCauseGradualDegradationBits">0</Data> <Data Name="BootIsDegradation">false</Data> <Data Name="BootIsStepDegradation">false</Data> <Data Name="BootIsGradualDegradation">false</Data> <Data Name="BootImprovementDelta">58638</Data> <Data Name="BootDegradationDelta">0</Data> <Data Name="BootIsRootCauseIdentified">false</Data> <Data Name="OSLoaderDuration">3598</Data> <Data Name="BootPNPInitStartTimeMS">17</Data> <Data Name="BootPNPInitDuration">7714</Data> <Data Name="OtherKernelInitDuration">547</Data> <Data Name="SystemPNPInitStartTimeMS">8099</Data> <Data Name="SystemPNPInitDuration">1847</Data> <Data Name="SessionInitStartTimeMS">10109</Data> <Data Name="Session0InitDuration">2279</Data> <Data Name="Session1InitDuration">309</Data> <Data Name="SessionInitOtherDuration">20415</Data> <Data Name="WinLogonStartTimeMS">33113</Data> <Data Name="OtherLogonInitActivityDuration">15501</Data> <Data Name="UserLogonWaitDuration">2296</Data> </EventData> </Event>
