  1. dude bluesoliel software is already loaded with the bluetooth drivers. so u need to install the software and then check in the device manager
  2. Congrats ona a successful ua intall of vista.... I would appreciate if u could post ure ua answer file. maybe i could help with ure issue once i get it installed on my system. thanks.
  3. i was just experimenting thats all...apparently i did try the help switch on update.exe in update folder and there is a switch called /integrate:<full path>. tried it and get the message "the /integrate switch must be used with the original software update package"
  4. Been struggling the whole **** day. no solution. tried with nlite ...during the integration process when it comes to integrating ie...ie gives a pop up that gives the details how to install...u knpw with all the switches...it never happened with iebeta 3....integrated as a hotfix using nlite.
  5. Try this....hope it helps...u can modify my example so that it achieves wht ure tryin 2do. C:\707\Acro707.msp /a C:\AcroPro\AcroPro.msi /qb! i ran this from the start>run initially itried with msiexec and got the same window that u posted above. now it does nt Eg \\server_name\Acrobat7Standard\7.0.5 Patch\Ac705StVP_efgj.msp /a \\server_name\Acrobat7Standard\Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard\AcroStan.msi or \\server_name\Acrobat7Standard\7.0.5 Patch\Ac705StVP_efgj.msp /a \\server_name\Acrobat7Standard\Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard\AcroStan.msi
  6. hey people ! i have a query. i have created a UADVD wherein there are no Users just the default profiles Administrator, All Users & Default User. Now i wanna trfr some files over via runonce, cmd. I install Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 and wanna trfr the licence and activation stuff...so far i have tested the following. 1. installed and activate Acrobat 2. copied the contents of the following folders. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe Systems Shared C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe Systems C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\Cache 3. the next time i instaledl I extract/copy the contents back to these same folders. I tried this on virtual machine and it seams to work. the above has worked on my system. now i wanna do the same with a UADVD via runonce.cmd Also with regards to winamp ...i have alredy read allanol's post but don't understand whether should i use startx.exe in runonce method
  7. you can use inno setup wizard to create the intsller....i did it and its superb....i found it was easier than nsis!
  8. well u could try inno setup (google it!) its very easy to use and its free...u could try nullsoft...but once u create the installer wirh nullsoft u can extract and find out what the script is?
  9. i get the same thing as well...i have abt 30 apllications.....ive tried divinding it into multimedia, internet, system, etc....and calling these runonce files from the answer file but to no avail...something goes drastically wrong.
  10. hey guys after posting the 2 probs that i have been facing...i seemed to have solved the prob abt the missing cabs...i downloaded the installer from nero.com and ran the install again...this time however i also kept a watch on the temp folder....and copied the extracted files (from the temp folder) over to another directory...then i tried the admin install command and it never gave me the missing cab prob agn...funnyy huh!!1 secondly what i noticed was the missing cab problem is related to the kind of extracting software ure using...in this case it was 7zip instead of winrar....when i extract with 7zip i get a size of 299mb and with winrar its 300 somethuing...so i guess since the installer thats posted on nero.com is a winrar sfx file ...its beter to extract the setup file using only winrar.... try it out. secondly can anyine tell me how to go abt reducing the size as i dont want nero cover, incd, nero home and nero home media....just nero, nero vision, wave editor, sound trx, showtime, recode, backitup and the toolkit.
  11. keytotime i tried ure instructions and these are the probs i have.... 01. Which version should i download ...there are 2 if u look carefully....the update version and the trial version....i don't understand the difference. the file size is the same....???? 02. when executing in the admin install command in the command prompt window it goes abt copying the files to the said directiory but then it informs that some of the cab files are missing and therefore cannot continue....i downloaded the update version agn from nero...same thing....i also happened to have the 2 cd version of nero 7 premium and conmfirmed...the stuff thats available on the net have some of the cab files missing....coz its there on the cd...???? interesting huh.

  13. hurray i finally made my first 7zip installer file...adobe acrobat pro with updates slipstreamed. man it was a struggle....hey XXsplit just another suggestion u need to add to this excellent guide....this is with regards to the installation done via msi files....heres wht i did with the config.txt .... ;!@Install@!UTF-8! RunProgram="StartX.exe /WAIT \"msiexec /i AcroPro.msi TRANSFORMS=AcroPro.mst /qn\"" ;!@InstallEnd@! yes i made a mst file and installed and it workled flawlessly...i had earlier tried without the transform file...it just extracted it...and then nothing....i then checked the office 2003 file that i had made and checked where i was going wrong and realised that i hadn't mentioned the mst file along with msi. however the activation part still has to be done manually once u have installed the software. now i am off to conquer nero 7...wish me luck.
