  1. Found the solution: You have to copy msvcp60.dll into system32 folder BEFORE you execute the KernelEx-Setup and reboot the system. Thats all. Now the system starts up with no problems. I have taken msvcp60.dll (6.2.3104.0) directly from the extracted KernelEx_v28hG folder.
  2. @blackwingcat I installed your KernelEx with your given informations in this forum. The KernelEx installs without an error message, but my system does not start up properly after the required reboot. Start up takes 10 minutes to show up the logon screen and displays an error message: "The system cannot log you on because the domain is unavailable." I have tried to follow your informations for minimum requirements: ====================================== blackwingcat Posted September 16, 2012 Extended kernel v2.x Minimum requirement is following. 1. Install IE6SP1+ Win2000 SP4 SRP1(Official) 2. Update for Root Certificates For Windows XP [April 2012] (KB931125) (Installed without message) 3. [MS12-052]Cumulative Security Update for Windows 2000 Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (2722913) blackwingcat Posted June 17, 2013 and you had better install [MS13-028]Cumulative Security Update for Windows 2000 Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (2817183) blackwingcat Posted July 15, 2016 1. You should install Internet Explorer 6 security update KB2722913 or later from WLU. 2. You should apply QFE registry before install it. 3. It may require recent cert root update. 4. v28* is compatible version for Vista. v28*G is compatible version for Windows 2000/XP. I recommend v28*G. ====================================== So what i have done: [BASE] Im running an IBM Thinkpad T42 with Win2000 SP4 (German) + integrated Updaterollup 1 (official) (SHORT VERSION - a more detailed version see further below): Installed IE6_SP1 (german)(Reboot) Installed Enable_QFE_Install.reg Installed Roots Certificates update (v46.0.2195.0)(Reboot) Installed Security Update IE6.0SP1-KB2817183-WINDOWS2000-X86-ENU.EXE (Reboot) Installed Windows2000_DNS-KB951748-v2-x86-DEU.exe (Reboot) Installed KernelEx Windows2000-KB935839-v28hG-x86-ENU.exe with following options and (Reboot) _______________________________________________________________ Extended Kernel Options v28h2G-x86-ENU [x] Terminate Explorer [ ] Use Debug version ole32.dll [x] Disable Vista MUI(HiSpeed) [ ] DirectX 10 Stub [ ] Enabled Self-Signed [ ] Not fix QuerySystemProcess Bug MSVCTR[6.10.9844.0] (x) NT5 Series ( ) NT6 Series COMCTL32[5.81] (x) 5.81 Series ( ) 5.82 Series ( ) Default Disable Functions [ ] PrintWindow [x] QueryFullProcessImageName [x] StringEx Functions [x] PreferredUILanguages Functions [x] ApplicationRecovery Functions [ ] K32 Functions [x] ConditionVariable Functions [ ] LocaleName Func [ Execute ] [ Cancel ] _______________________________________________________________ Now the system does not start up as described above (it takes 10 minutes...). 1.
