  1. Extended Kernel for XP (ExtendedXP)

Nice! Any ETA you have for the next release, by the way? I noticed it downloads were removed for reasons related to the emergency patch. I really want to run XP on my Braswell Acer as an experiment, and yeah. Let's keep XP alive ^^
  2. One Core API

Has anyone tested the One Core API found here: <link removed> And is it perhaps possible to install USB 3.0 Intel drivers and HD Graphics 6000 using it? I'd like the know mainly for experimental reasons on my Acer... I mean I could try it myself but I don't want to risk anything... :/ Thanks in advance
  3. List of Web Browsers Working with XP 2017

Thanks. This should hopefully be applicable to SeaMonkey too since it is based on FF 52.4 ESR.
  4. Latest Version of Software Running on XP

Anyone know where to find KVirc's last Git revision that was using Qt 5.6? The current builds use 5.9. Preferably with an installer binary because I know the stable version on the website is very out of date (but still usable).
  5. List of Web Browsers Working with XP 2017

I don't want to use Firefox or SeaMonkey because even though they are most secure likely, unfortunately there is an annoying bug on the Intel GMA forcing ClearType. Any alternative other than Maxthon that will work with most sites? I tried Otter and a few others and they just plainly didn't work with certain sites.
  6. Extended Kernel for XP (ExtendedXP)

Is there a list of what common programs will function under this modified kernel anywhere? ^^ I could try to compile a list of things if needed if I decide to boot up a VM - there's no way I'm doing testing on my real install. Feel free to give me things to test ^^
  7. I'll have a look for it @WinClient5270 but no promises. Also, you might want to add the last supported version of HexChat, for those that use IRC.
  8. The OP doesn't mention SeaMonkey 2.49.1 at all (which is based on FF 52.4 ESR). Are the same options applicable?
  9. Is Vista a lost cause on modern hardware?

It's true: many (but not all) hardware configurations run Vista SP2 better than 7 SP1. A lot of people are not willing to believe this, however, and software/hardware developers seem to be dropping support at the same time as XP... meaning Vista will have a very short life compared to 7. 7 also has backported the telemetry and forced Windows Updates settings, and I'd rather not have to decipher what updates to not install.
  10. Official - Windows 10 Worst Crap Ever!

I hate how W10 condescends to the user and it honestly feels like a bunch of HTML/JS hipster-built apps cobbled together on top of the NT 6 kernel with unfitting and seemingly random interfaces that demands an always-on connection to mine your data.
  11. List of Web Browsers Working with XP 2017

Last version for XP was released January 2017 - doubt it'll get many updates after that.
  12. Microsoft security essentials and Windows XP

I need to learn how to read. -.-
  13. No MSFN forums with Opera Presto engine

I never really had a problem with it other than the fact the local mod system is bad. The extensibility is quite good too.
  14. Microsoft security essentials and Windows XP

Thanks for the support. I already know how to turn off notifications for Security Centre, and I don't really care if there is an issue. Does it auto-update okay or does it require manual intervention in order to update the virus definitions? I didn't see it mentioned in any of the posts I managed to read last night.
  15. Disabling JS on this site really helps its usability on slower PCs. Surprised ISP4 even has fallbacks.
