  1. How was it updated? And where can I get a new version to try?
  2. Quick question, is there a list of all updates for posready somewhere that is updated frequently?
  3. According to a user named ArgHereBeDragons in a thread on the Microsoft Answers Forums, this error appears to be caused by the file C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\AuthCabs\authcab.cab. This CAB file contains an XML file called authorization.xml that has an expiration of 12/3/2017 at 11:59:25 PST. If a user tries to update windows after this time, then Windows Update fails because this file is expired. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-7-update-giving-a-80248015-error-heres-why-and-how-to-fix-it-/ When someone figures out how to get a working authcab.cab, let the world know.
  4. Confirmed. Date change to pre-december 4th will allow things to work again.
  5. Someone else hit it here, and seems to have proposed a workaround. (didnt seem to work for me) http://borncity.com/win/2017/12/04/windows7-error-0x80248015-in-update-search-dec-4-2017/#more-4414 Windows 7: Error 0x80248015 in Update Search (Dec. 4, 2017) 80248015.Windows7.xp.wepos_RS.pdf
