  1. I really appreciate all your hard work and am "rebuilding Image" now so well see how it goes. I had some questions; Will there be a "services" tab to set the startup type of each service later? I noticed a screen shot of a previous version that says something like "check the box to enable features, uncheck to disable" that is not in the new version. Better explanations for the windows would be simple and nice. Anyone know where can I find just the important updates or hot fixes maybe in a pack? Can I run vlite after this to modify the services startup and remove services? Thx Mike
  2. Found the Fix for this. Simply enough just unregister the dll and reregister it and the send to mail recipient will reappear, and autosize pics in emails.... Method 1: Unregister and then reregister the Sendmail.dll file For Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0 and Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0, follow these steps. When the .MAPIMail file does not exist in the Disk:/Documents and Settings/username/SendTo folder, the Mail Recipient command is not shown when you point to Send To on the File menu. 1. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 /u %windir%\system32\sendmail.dll, and then click OK. 2. Type the following command to reregister, and then click OK: regsvr32 %windir%\system32\sendmail.dll
  3. As it says in the title. I am super happy with my builds, but am missing the "send to email" option, and the wizard that reduces the picture size. I would like to restore these to my build. What options should I not remove from nlite to retain these options? Thanks in advance, Mike
  4. Ok, guys I guess I'll just deal with it the way it is.
  5. Yes I am talking about nlite. If you use the unattended section of nlite you have to predefine the user names right? I want to be prompted for a name that can be unique, to be typed in. Is the only/best way to do this via OOBE? I hope that explains my question better. Mike
  6. I currently use OOBE to enter a unique name. Windows has a "personalize your software" windows that comes up b4 oobe runs so I have to enter in a name twice, and go thru OOBE if I remove OOBE will I still get to name the user on setup? If not and I still want to enter a unique name on install whats the best method? Thanks in advance, Mike
  7. I would like to do the following things after the unattended install is done; Del desktop icons added by silent installs, addons etc to leave only the my computer, network places, and recycle bin. Show the quick launch bar with only the icons i list in it. replace some folders in the application data area so as not to have to re customize certain programs. What is the easiest way to do this? I tried making a run once file, but using xcopy etc dosent seem to recognize the %systemroot% type paths returning path not found. Any help greatly appreciated. Mike
  8. Studzz info was right on, but I had a real tuff one, and the link below tells how to bypass, and uninstall explorer. Of course mine reported the uninstall was damaged or missing, so in desperation I had a corporate win98 cd that I booted and ran thu the setup on and it fixed the existing win install w/o overwriting it. Tools if win starts.. SFC (system file checker) if not scanreg /fix from dos boot 5starsupport
  9. After installing 20rc1 I get a blue screen on boot up saying it has detected an error in the registry and is restoring a prevoius registry to fix the problems. Then it reboots, blue reg screen again saying " You have restored a registry...rebooting". Rinse and repeat. etc etc etc. The system was working fine b4 the install of 20rc1 so if there are no fixes how do i restore to pre 20rc1? Thx Mike
